This Is the Antenna You Want
I experimented with 2 other products - the Mohu and the Clearstream 4 - and the 1byOne is by far the best value for under half the cost of the others. I also had concerns about plastic antennas surviving our severe summers, as this is mostly metal. The unit is elegantly engineered, strong but lightweight, and snaps together in a few minutes with the aid of 6 simple drawings - no confusing instructions. The bolt-ends even have retaining rings to make sure the wing nuts can't back off. Nice detail! On a 16-foot pole I immediately pulled in 18 channels including 2 majors which are 60 miles away. With the addition of a $10 signal amplifier from WalMart - installed in my cable box BEFORE the splitter - I received 6 more channels including a sports station that was 80 miles away. All my TV jacks are receiving crystal clear, stable programming, even 100 feet from the box. Don't waste your time on anything else. Give this a try!

Excellent performance, solid construction and quite easy to set it up out of the box,.. tool-free...
We wanted over-air on a few channels here.....and purchased this due to the size and ability to receive channels further away (based n terrain and reception conditions of course). The antenna is very well made. Needs no tools for set up. It opens and has recessible buttons which snap into place and hold the components in positions very securely. There is wing-nuts for some of the components.....but, the entire antenna went together out of the box quite fast and without needing any tools. (Only an adjustable wrench is needed to mount/tighten it to your "pole" or other mount at your desired location).I've installed both antennas and satellite dishes many times in the past and I know a good install will do the job and not cause issues, along of course, with a decent and dependable product.Often poor reception performance is due to a poor installation. "Something was missed",..be it wrong antenna direction, bad connections, or in some cases, even a TV that does not have a decent (or accurate) tuner. That all said, the 1ByOne outdoor roof antenna indeed received all 18 HD channels in our areas, most of them in the SE direction, but, a few in the Westerly direction, and this was putting it on a pole about 10 feet off the ground for test purposes. You can Google what channels are round you, and get the station name, channel, direction and distance.I will tell you in all honesty, we get every channel my list suggested we should. We are ~65 miles from Canada HD channels here in Vermont and I am doubtful we'll receive these even when the antenna is placed up high near roof peak since we're in a bit of a ravine, but, maybe with luck, who knows.I also have a distribution amplifier in the house for cable feed. It takes the tv signal and gives it a bit of boost to all of the rooms and several coaxial connections. A antenna moutned pre-amp can be purchased too for your antenna (I did not need one) to offer a bit of gain for reception if you are in a fringe area.Net is that this antenna works extremely well for me. It's made very well and strong. Nothing n it felt flimsy. The metal elements are of course aluminum and light weight, but, the tubular and flat elemnts indeed are made well as is the frame on this.Even ice and snow and wind should not bother it at all regarding damage. If you do a good location survey (where to put this antenna away from obstructions and metal roofs, etc and use the best direction to face it for majority of your desired channels) plus a good solid wiring job (using -good- quality RG6 coax) and then mounting it securely, I do not think this reasonably priced antenna is going to disappoint you..

Works great!
I am really impressed by this antenna. I bought the 25 mile one and it works great, and many of the channels are in excellent HD quality. When I scanned I had around 20 channels. I lost a couple channels when I mounted it, but they weren't channels I cared about. I was able to get the major locals (CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox) and a bunch of other channels too, including ION and PBS. I bought this because I intend to cut the cable cords and pay for a streaming service, but I still wanted access to live ABC. If you are in an area with good signal strength, this is a good cheap antenna to try. Use a website like tv fool to get an idea of the signals in your area and how close you are to the towers. The setup was extremely easy. I just used the instructions in the package. It took me less than 10 minutes to set it up and scan for channels. It's recommended to not mount the antenna before you have scanned your TV to see if it picks up the channels. If it's not picking up much, you can move it around to a better location and scan again. It comes with a couple 3M strips, and if you place it and want to adjust it, you can easily remove the antenna from the wall. It didn't mess up the paint on my wall when I took it off and adjusted it. I'd recommend this antenna for the price and since it comes with a 16.5 ft coaxial cable so if you need to mount it across the room from your TV you can. Definitely check one of those signal strength websites first though, to make sure you will be able to pick up channels and to know if you should order one with a bigger mile radius.

Great antenna
This is a great antenna. I had one that I paid $40 for that worked pretty good. However it was cumbersome to deal with because it required 120 volts for the power supply.I bought this one because it didn't need an external power supply and is light and very easy to install. I get a lot more channels with this antenna than I did with the more expensive one.Works so good that I bought a second one for the TV in my other room.

Great antenna for city use
I've been an antenna person for close to a decade now. typically I've lived well outside the city (40+ miles) and always relied on an externally mounted directional antenna with an amplifier. This time, I'm within the city limits so opted for something a little easier. Not much to it, Take it out of the box, plug the coax cable into the tv, scan for channels, then delete all the ones I don't care about. I like that it is small enough to mount behind the cabinet that holds the dvd player. Living in the city, I get great, clear reception. I even convinced another person to get one for the price after they watched how simple the set-up is and saw the results. If you are in the city, this is a great little antenna

Good antenna
I live really close to the CN Tower, so I bought the cheapest one without signal booster. Easy to set up, 3M adhesive will stick. As soon as I plugged it in and scanned for channels it picked up 13 if my memory serves me well. Would recommend.

It was great, I had hoped for 1 or 2 channels ...
Watch the hockey game tonight for free. It was great, I had hoped for 1 or 2 channels I get 14 and I am in serious mountain country. Does exactly what it's supposed to, good quality for price. Definitely recommend it, I have been for the last week.

she was very happy with all 4 channels coming in rock solid
I purchased this for a friend who lives 10 miles away from the broadcasting towers in her area that broadcast 3 UHF channels and one VHF channel. She had a rabbit ear antenna and was missing one of the weaker UHF channels. Once she got this antenna, she was very happy with all 4 channels coming in rock solid...

Does not work from indoors in any position.
I stay around 10 km aerial distance from the tower, but i do not get a single channel, if i keep antenna indoors. This defeats the basic principles of indoor antenna. It could be because I m behind condominiums and huge buildngs. I am forced to move antenna outside to patio, and i get awesome reception of 13 channels. However we can't leave door open overnight, so we have to bring it inside before closing the door every night.
