Disney Princess Beauty and the Beast: Rebel Rose (Queen's Council Vol.1)

I bought this for a friend, but read it first (because I was nosy. Belle (soon to be queen) faces a new challenge when her husband must go to court.It has a decent premise and the book is full of adventure; it has a new ‘Gaston’ and Belle faces the troubles of married life and the difficulties of royalty - the witch reappears as well (what would this story be without the enchantress)?To be honest, I thought it was a bit predictable. I would have liked to have seen Rebel Rose tackle the feminism issue with a bit more subtlety, not from the perspective of ‘human beast is listening to his male friends, ugh, now the woman has to save the day’... This was already done in Beauty and the Beast and the sequel could have done something a little different.On saying this, the characters were fabulous, and the adventures within the book engaging. My friend loved it.SPOILER: IT HAS A HAPPY ENDING

These books are all great. So much fun to read. A grown up tale with all the magic of disney.

Smashing book

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, was such a gripping story. Honestly didn't put it down and finshed reading it over a couple of days. Would 100% recommend, can't wait for the next one.
