I really wanted to like this crucifix considering it was one of the more expensive ones for its size. The only POSSIBLE Olive wood is the cross embedded in the center. As to the rest, the upper layer is wood tone paper glued over top of pressboard. The layer underneath is the same substance (pressboard painted dark brown). Though I’ll grant the possibility that the central cross is olive wood, it far more resembles cheap balsa wood (a substance with which I’m very familiar having used it to build many models). Instead of the twisted orange and black rich patterning normally present in olive wood, there appears flat un-patterned very blonde wood typical of balsa. The entire piece is also suspiciously light weight, about the same weight I would expect cardboard this size to be. Smaller actual olive (Jerusalem) wood Stations of the Cross crucifixes I’ve purchased are substantially heavier.Considering my observations, the enclosed “Certificate of Authenticity” is deceptive at best. Though I t’s entirely possible the product was handmade, I’d bet anything the entire piece is made of cheap materials as noted above and that none of it is actual olive wood.Nor is it holding up well. Even though it’s been sitting untouched in the original packaging since it arrived, the edges are showing signs of wear.As to the pictures of 14 Stations embedded around the corpus of Christ, they are low quality and difficult to see. One of them has a white slash through it further obscuring the picture.I have no idea what the substance is that’s preserved behind the dusty plastic viewing window sloppily affixed below the corpus (since the package insert provided no info to this regard). The particles inside look like small pieces of rock. Somehow I’m not convinced they originate from anywhere Jesus walked.All in all, it’s extremely disappointing. I gave it one star only because zero stars isn’t an option.

This was a gift and literally the size of my palm. Although it had a lot of pictures, they were too small to see what they were. I would pay more money for a larger version.

The small but beautiful crusifix fits just right above my front door. JESUS is protecting us.I love it.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He loves it! The Olive wood and the offering are very nice details and it's a wonderful addition to our living room decor.

Just stunning

I am so disappointed. You would think something meant to hang on a wall would not break if dropped from just a few feet. My kids boyfriend accidentally dropped it out of his hand and this thing just crumbled. It was his birthday present so I felt awful. I am highly disappointed.

This was a Christmas gift. It did take a little while to get to me but did arrive on time. It was a lot smaller than expected but previous reviews helped me be aware of the size ahead of time. The craftsmanship was amazing and my family member loved it either way! If they ever make it just a little bit larger then I would buy again! Beautiful work!
