A bit odd, yes, but they work!
These are definitely not for fashion and many people have given these bad reviews saying they feel weird or whatever but I love them.I am a professional dog walker and I ride my bike to travel to the dogs I walk. I am out in the rain and snow, riding the bike and then walking. I live in Northern New Jersey and it rains and snows here a lot!I got these because I thought I had decent rain gear but after a few heavy rain storms I ended up drenched on my bike and walks and knew I had to get some more high-tech gear. Originally I was looking for one of those rubber rain suits or gaiters that fishermen wear because I couldn't think of an alternative way to have waterproof pants while riding the bike or walking in a rain storm. When searching waterproof pants these came up. I liked that they weren't PVC or rubber and decided to give them a shot.I am so happy I did! Here's some things to know:These are not terribly cute, but they do the job. Definitely function over fashion in this case! That being said, they aren't too hideous either, they look sort of like track suit pants and aren't so stiff that upon first glance it doesn't look like your wearing weird pants or anything. The material is like those envelopes like other people have said. It is kind of funny feeling and weird at first which is to be expected if they are to be 100% waterproof. They couldn't be soft regular cloth and still be waterproof. So for them to be waterproof and as wearable as they are, is great. They are much more flexible then the PVC or rubber suits I first looked at.They can be hot because they do not breathe much but they are not too bad if you dress correctly. Because of the material, they are meant to be worn over other clothes or pants. I wear cotton leggings underneath in a cold rain and that is perfect, especially riding the bike. On a snow day, fleece pants or sweats would probably do the trick and keep you plenty warm. The wearing of other clothes underneath is nice because you can take these off at your destination and be dressed normally so I can be dry on my bike but still have normal clothes when I get where I am going. They also roll up very small and can be easily thrown into a bag. They have nice Velcro on the bottoms so you can secure them at ankles. They are a bit long but with rain boots and them velcroed, they don't drag at all. They also have an elastic band at the waist that can be tightened.I also bought the Frog Toggs jacket and a Frog Toggs pack able poncho to go with these pants to make a full rain suit.I have walked and ridden in very heavy rain and some snow this season and have been 100% dry and warm. After hours of bike riding and walking in heavy rain, I had no water soak through and I remained completely dry. These seem to be holding up great so far and have not ripped or fallen apart after a good amount of use. However, even if they only last one season, I would definitely buy these again next year as they are totally worth it. Even if I only get one season of use out of them I will feel I got my money's worth.

HORRIBLE, VERY UNHAPPY
The media could not be loaded. Where do I start?1) the fabric is god awful, you make so much noise moving. It’s like you’re a human bag of potato chips (you can’t even grab them quietly).2) the fabric is stiff and not easy to work with. I have no clue why this product would be advertised as being suitable for running, hiking, and biking, when I can’t even squat without the material feeling like it’s about to rip.3) AGAIN THE FABRIC. If you’ve ever gotten one of those cheap pillows or blankets that airlines sometimes give out during flights… that’s what these pants feel like… just thicker.4) I’m 5’6 and about 162 so I bought the large (3 pairs because I needed water proof pants for work) and I am absolutely SWIMMING in these. I can’t even tighten the waist because all 3 pants came with some kind of issue with the waist string. Pair 1 and 2 came with one side of the string still inside the pants (and it is damn near impossible to get the string to come out the other side) and pair 3 came with NO STRING AT ALL.6) Again I’m 5’6 about 162lbs and in the size chart it says to get a Large. And they are way too long on me. If I use the ankle strap, the fabric bunches up uncomfortably at the knee. If I roll it up, it looks clumsy, and if I leave it at the normal length… well, me being my “graceful” self… i’d probably find a way to fall down some stairs.7) The proportions are so off. These were not made with curvy girls in mind, I have thick hips and a moderate amount of “junk in the trunk” if you know what I mean… and these pants frustrate my ever living being. They’re too tight on the butt but too loose in the front?!? (The picture showing how loose they are in the front, I was just standing up straight like a normal human being). How does that even happen? I feel like my butt would have more room if I wore these things backwards. And then of course they’re super long and the legs are really baggy… until you bend or squat down and feel like you’re losing some circulation in your thighs.8) When I squat down, there’s a good amount of skin showing and odds are if I actually wore these out, I’d come home soaking wet.9) They advertise “light weight” but they have the same heft as a pair of very stiff jeans.10) I started overheating and sweating under the pants within 3 minuets in A/C conditions. What’s the point of being waterproof if you're just going to generate moisture under the fabric? To summarize, don’t buys these, they’re a waste of time and money. I WILL BE RETURNING. I’ll update on how their customer service handles the situation.

Perfect fit … and real comfortable
I bought these to wear snow tubing and they were terrific. Very lightweight but kept me nice and dry. Fit was perfect allowing me to wear pants as well. Stayed nice and dry and nice and warm!!

Waterproof, but not as durable as I needed.
These are handy pants, but they are only good for certain uses. They are in fact waterproof. They are an odd, papery feeling material, but after you wear them once or twice, they do soften up. To throw on occasionally when you are faced with an unexpected rain, they are probably good. I tried to use them for hiking and wear in the woods. They are not durable enough for this. I put a stick across my leg for a few short minutes to carve off the end and the pants frayed terribly in that spot. They are NOT good to wear around fires. We had a small campfire and I never saw a spark hit me, but I had a big hole melted through the leg, the first time I wore them by a fire. I have a coat too and the first time I wore that by a small campfire, I was very careful as I knew what happened to the pants. I still ended up with a hole melted in that and never saw a spark either time. So the slightest spark or heat will melt them. So these can be great rain gear for the right purpose, but they don't work for everything.

Odd material, dont stand up
The pants fit well and were quiet, no swishing noise when I walk. They were water resistant but one day in the rain and they were no longer water proof. They are a strange cloth material, so be prepared for lots of things to stick to them if you are in long grass, forest, etc.

Perfect!
I agree with all the reviews about these pants not being fashionable as the pant material is not at all form fitting. They slide over jeans easily and are very lightweight but offer you super protection from the wet and cold. I love them! The only thing I wish they had was a pocket. I would recommend them.

Vraiment efficace

They do the job
Having used the original green motorcycle rain suit from frogg toggs for many years, I knew these would wear well and keep me dry. Fabric and finish have to be tough to stand up to many, many miles of motorcycle touring in the rain. Baggy? Well, they’re cut so you can wear insulated layers underneath when necessary. These pants are not a fashion statement, they’re functional. Frankly, in black they look pretty decent. Best of all, they’re a fraction of the price of most other options.
