Grimm Fairy Tales Adult Coloring Book

As an avid fan of coloring books I was very happy with my purchase of this book. I usually wait to order a coloring book until I can see what is inside of it (either in a store or from images posted by reviewer or the publisher), however, I took a gamble on the pre-order based on the cover alone and am I ever glad I did.Maturity Note: While there is no actual nudity the outfits in all of the images are as revealing as many of the adult women's Halloween customers I have seen in recent years. Its pretty ladies in sexy clothing, some slightly suggestive poses (i.e. on par with the lingerie section of a Victoria Secret catalog), and, I repeat, there is NO nudity. If I was uncomfortable with looking at a Victoria Secret catalog, or with the person I was buying this for doing so, I would not buy this. Simply put, if the image on the cover makes you uncomfortable then don't buy this book.The Images:I color a lot and am often frustrated by books that have a great image on the cover but very few good images inside. I was very happy to find that, of the 46 listed images, all but 5 of them are of the same style and quality of design as the image on the cover. The 5 of 46 "illustrations to color" advertised on the cover that did not match the cover style felt like section separator for the style of characters for that section. Of the 5 separator images only one, the card suits, felt overly simplistic and boring, however, it still fit with the theme of the images near it (Alice in Wonderland).The images are very fun and sexy, definitely an adult coloring book just as advertised.The Theme:The book does have a classic tales theme, however, some of the images I was not able to determine what tale they related to while other were clearly not related to any classic tale that I recognized and still others were steam punk. Maybe I am not as knowledge of classic tales as I would like to think but I was only confident in places 20 images into a respective tale, not that this bothered me since the other 21 images are still definitely on the same vain and fit the theme presented by the images themselves. I was excited to recognize some of the images from a few of my favorite artists on deviant art and the book could very well be considered an art book of black and white images with the quality.The Paper:I agree with M Holmes that, when using markers, the colorist would need to protect the other pages in some way from bleeding. Removing the pages is a good call to prevent this, I would suggest taking off the binding as the images go all the way to the binding (I bought a second copy just to do this), or using a thin piece of cardboard as a backing (I do this anyways for both testing markers and for page support). Pencil obviously does not have the issues of bleed that markers do and takes well to the paper. Regardless of coloring medium would recommend a supporting surface as the cover material is not as rigid as, for example, a Creative Haven coloring book.Conclusion:If you are an adult colorist that likes this type of art I highly recommend this coloring book for both its quality and quantity of content.Disclaimer:I purchased this book at full price and was NOT asked to write a review, likely because I rarely find things I consider worth reviewing. I got this coloring book for myself for Easter. Everyone in the house except the baby got a coloring book, and I decided this one looked like fun. I absolutely love it. The images are whimsical and fun. You can find your favorite fairy tale characters within the book.The pages are detailed and can take a lot of time to color. However, there are some pages that aren't quite as detailed, making them shorter projects. I like the variety of options when coloring in the Grimm Fairy Tales Adult Coloring Book.I do need to note that while not all "adult" coloring books are specifically adult, this one is. Some of the images are a little risque, though I don't think I would classify any of them as not safe for work. However, they may be too much for some people to feel comfortable with for their children.I use colored pencils to color on this. If you use markers, keep in mind that though there are no images on the back sides, it could bleed through to the next page.Overall, this is a beautiful coloring book with awesome, fun images. It's definitely adult level, and allows you to lose yourself in the coloring. If you're looking for a fun challenge, get this book. It's worth every cent.

I love coloring and since I love it so much I decided to start an adult coloring and cocktails day at my bar. Once a month I have cocktails and coloring and it is so very fun. I am always looking for new coloring books that have different themes and have different artwork and I will say that this coloring books is amazing. My patrons have already gone through half of the pages because they are so awesome. Not only are they sexy but they are super cute at the same time. The pages are thick and they do not feel as if they are going to rip when you tear them out. I love the way that these are so detailed, some of the pages that you get out of other books that feature women are very plain and do not have a ton of details. I absolutely love how detailed this book is it is one of the best books that I have bought because of the intricacy of the designs. Over all I would say that I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and I would make a ton more purchases from this seller because of the awesome quality of the products that they sell.

I love this coloring book. It's not the typical adult coloring book that I've seen. The pictures remind me of comic book superheros yet they are illustrations of Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid,Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella to name a few. The artwork is beautiful. After coloring I'm going to hang some of them up. They are that pretty.The paper is heavy. It's good paper. I still worry about ink going through so I put a piece of paper between the pages. The one thing I don't like is that the picture goes all the way into the crease of the book making it impossible to color. I wish the pages were perforated.Also, it doesn't bother me at all, but just so you know the pictures are very sexy..lots of huge cleavages and big bums. I think it's beautiful but you might not want to get this for your five year old who loves princesses lol. Or maybe you do... lol.All on all, this is a really nice book, well worth the price and has already provided me hours of fun. I'm very happy with this purchase.This product was a personal purchase for myself at the normal retail price. I am reviewing it because I want to share my experience with other potential customers.

On a second try of buying another Grimm fairy tales an really happy with this purchase, paper quality is good and images are nicely put into paper compared to some I have bought an ordered. Would definitely recommend

je ne savais pas ce que contenait les illustrations de ce livre , elles sont de toute beauté , mais seulement pour les adulte comme l'indique le titre , rien de pornographique mais un peu de légèreté dans les tenues, on aime ou pas , moi j'adore , je guette le prochain j'aurai aimé sur les pin'ups des année 40 - 50 au cas ou l'auteur lirai ce message

Me ha encantado! Es una forma distinta y sugerente de colorear personajes saliéndose de los típicos de Disney.El único punto negativo es que el papel no es de un alto gramaje. Yo estoy coloreándolo con rotuladores y hay que poner una hoja debajo para no estropear la siguiente porque traspasa muchísimo.Por lo demás perfecto. Lo recomiendo 100%.
