Great...when it works
I got this along with the laserpet 2 to dry practice at home. I followed the installation instructions and it took a few tries to get it to work. When it finally worked, it was proving to be a great training device until it stopped working again. It was frustrating to have to take the device apart and screw on tighter after every few shots because it stopped working. You will grow so frustrated by the 3rd time you do this that you will likely return it. As a side note, you also need to pull the charging handle every time you want to fire the laser, which if you do it enough, it might create a muscle memory routine that will be completely irrelevant real rifle use and might be hidrance in matches or other type training with live ammoReviews in other sites show people had to return this to Laser Ammo on their dime to get it replaced. Additionally, sure strike/Laser Ammo offers no refunds on their site which already tells you more than you need to hear. If you buy this just now that this device will very likely stop working at one point in the near future.Batteries were another issue. The device ships with batteries that are wrapped together in a plastic sleeve. They tell you to not remove the wrap since that will shorten the laser. So you would either try to wrap your own batteries (not worth it) or will continue to have to buy their batteries. I don’t understand how cheap boresight lasers have a design that uses batteries without wraps but this way more expensive device doesn’t.Lastly, I’m not a fan of Amazon letting manufacturers “reset” or delete bad ratings of a product. I was very much on the fence about this since the red laser version of this had over 10 reviews that were less than stellar. It now only has 3 reviews which just looks shady to me.
