This review is written by someone who simply cannot slice bread properly. My wife bought this for me as a bit of Christmas fun but it actually is a great little gadget for slciing my home made bread.There are some drawbacks - I now have to set my bread maker to M size (which actually means small) as this slicer can only cope with a small sized loaf. On the other hand, you can alter the thickness of the slices you want to cut which is very handy.It isn't easy particularly easy to clean as you get quite a lot of crumbs stuck in the bottom but a couple of deft shakes and it mostly falls out.It's made of plastic, so it is a bit flimsy - one made of aluminium would look great and last a lifetime - but this should last a while if treated gently.All in all, I am happy that I can now slice my morning toast properly without deforming the rest of the loaf!

Have just started to make bread with my bread maker . The bread was tasty but its got a bit chewed up when I tried to slice it. The bread slicer has made a big difference. Wastage has been reduced to practically nil. One thing which is very important you must have a very sharp bread knife. It folds up and slips easily into a drawer. It is easy to adjust to different thicknesses. Only criticism is it could do with being a little bit wider as I have to take a small slice of the side to make it fit when I slice a store bought crusty loaf. Was not expecting too much for the price but I am pleasantly surprised.

Very handy sturdy plastic bread slicer.You can adjust the slice of bread you cut!Bought in amazon warehouse so very reasonable price. The only thing is that the slot for the knife to cut was pushed a bit together at the top (that's why it was in the warehouse) but I have wedged something in there and it should fix that, not a major thing! Very pleased overall as my husband makes fab bread and now I can cut the size slice I want!

I am very disappointed. This is far too small for a loaf of bread, the guide is distorted and broken. All in all it's useless. I gues if you only had a small loaf you could use it but it's not really fit for purpose.

I am normally of those optimistic buyers who looks at some negative reviews and thinks 'oh, can't have been that bad, I'm sure it will suit/fit/last me for what I want'. I mean, this is cheap and cheerful I guess. It is just a bit of folding plastic and a bit flimsy. You can have different thicknesses but my guess is that with constant cutting down the plastic, its going to wear rom the cutting, especially at the bottom as you finishing slicing the bread and you'll end up with the item in two bits...I have a standard bread maker machine, which is always on the small/medium setting (because a large loaf would just go to waste) and bread from this, as I saw in another review, is too thick/wide to really fit in the hole. I had to squash it a bit and force it in. The crums just get everywhere and sadly this device is now sitting at the back of the cupboard unused as its easier to continue just cutting doorstops free hand!

I am in love with this nifty little helper! It’s the perfect size for the small loaves I bake and I have used bread cutting items before but none like this!It is strong and sturdy, and you can change the thickness of the slices. With my arthritis is really hurts my hands to hold and cut bread but this makes it a lot easier.(No more wonky bread that looked like it’s been pulled through a mincer!)Would recommend!

The media could not be loaded. Easy to store and clean. Lots of thickness options with the thinnest option perfect for sandwiches. Medium and large loaf fits but extra large loaf may be a bit tall depending on bread made. Easier to use on a mat to keep it steady. Panasonic bread maker.
