House Beautiful Style 101: 400 Designer Secrets to a Beautiful Home

The book is mostly photographs. It is inspiring and can stimulate your thinking about design and decor. It is not heavy on details. You won't be able to find all of the products or even know where they come from. But as an offline visual stimulant for home design it hits the spot.

Lovely, informative ,and easy to transport to your local paint shop.

There were some good ideas presented, but nothing spectacular. Will be a useful addition to my library, but could have done without.

Tiny book, I really hated this about the book because you don't get to see the rooms on a larger scale. Also there wasn't anything really great about the decor. Many of the images I've already seen online. The designers commentary was just Ok, kinda fell short of anything very interesting or fresh.It's an older book so I guess it's expected not to be up to date on current trends. I only paid $3.00 for it so not really a loss just disappointing because I was hoping to find some goodies in there.

A bit derivative from HB's larger decor books, re-using similar photos, but nice small reference book for inspiration! Up to usual HB standards.

I love this book! I have looked thru it several times, traveled with it, and will always keep it for the ideas I love and would love to use someday! great purchase

Interesting book, although a lot smaller than I expected. Has the opinions of the decorators that you read of in each House Beautiful magazine......but all in one book, so that is nice.
