Would marry this thermos if I could.
After getting addicted to tea this winter, this thermos saved my life.I was getting so sick of my tea cooly so quickly and not staying warm. This thermos does not lie, it legitimately keeps drinks warm/hot for hours! I'll put my thermos next to my bed and wake up and still drink it warm. Also! it keeps drinks COLD even longer, when I put water in it, I don't need ice or anything.About the thermos and how to use it:the tea insulator is AMAZING! I just started buying loose teas and this saved me from eating mouthfuls of random leaves. You just lift up the insulator, throw the loose tea in, pour hot water in it, and put the insulator back on. (i may have tried to put the loose teas on TOP of the insulator my first time)the lid serves no purpose other than to make the thermos LEAK-PROOF, which it totally is. I'm not sure why you're able to separate the lid...i'm thinking it might be so you can cool your tea slowly without taking the entire lid off.it's also very easy to clean and doesn't leech tastes from my different teas.i have 0 complaints other than that I once burnt my tongue because the thermos works so well and I thought my tea was cooler than it actually was.in conclusion, it's super cute, sleek, portable, LEAK-PROOF, light, AND PINK. I carry this aroung with me everywhere and now it's like my third limb. it's amazing for tea, or any hot/cold drink! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

Allllll day scalding hot
This travel mug will keep your drinks boiling hot for hours and hours and hours. I don't drink coffee but I drink a variety of tea. Sometimes I just put straight raw honey and boiling water and shake it in the mug, so technically the tea filter isn't necessary for that and I use tea bags for regular tea. It is, however, useful for when I make tea with yuzu marmalade, it keeps all the bits of yuzu skin out of my mouth. The filter is pushed in and snug so it doesn't slip or drop into your mouth/face...along with the scalding hot water. On my long days, this mug literally keeps my tea hot from 9am to 10pm, probably even longer than that. At lunch time it's still scalding, around 9pm it gets to a nice hot temperature where I can drink it comfortably.I was concerned because it only holds about a little less than 500mL whereas my water bottle is about 750mL but it's light and portable and because it stays so hot, I only sip little by little throughout the day. The size works out just fine. I'm pretty sure the top part of the lid that you can pop off is just for vacuum sealing to keep your drink hot. You have to unscrew the actual whole lid and drink it directly from the container, no sippy cup lid. The best part of the lid is that is absolutely does not leak! That was a concern of mine as so many of my previous mugs or water bottles had a problem with leakage. This mug can lay sideways in my bag all day and there's still no leakage. My only cons are that because there are so many parts, it's annoying to clean out but it's not that big of a deal. And also, when you unscrew the lid, the condensation leaks down the sides sometimes when the mug is full, again not a big deal, I just wipe it off. I've yet to drop it so I don't know how sturdy it is but 10/10 I would recommend!!!

Best thermos mug EVER!!!
Firstly, I love the color of this mug. It isn't too girly glittery, but not too dull. I held off writing a review because I just didn't think this was what I wanted.I was looking for a loose leaf thermos mug that would keep heat but had mesh so I want drinking a bunch of leaves. The pictures make it seem that you don't have tip take lid off to drink from it. This was the main reason I bought it. You do have to unscrew the lid and drink from the mug part, bummer. I also wanted the mesh; while it does have one, it makes it pretty hard to remove the leaves when it is don't stepping so you don't over steep (it says to put leaves in the water and then put basket in) I know, 2 negatives and I have it 5 stars. Here is the reason, this sucker kept my tea hot for 9 hours. I work as a pharmacist and never get breaks, so I can't keep going to warm up my tea. I kid you not. This super light mug kept it at the 190 degrees for most of the dayand the outside of it was nice and cool to touch. I opened it and it was still streaming and I scaled my tongue drinking too quickly 5 hours after I filled it up; at 9 hours it was a nice hot drinkable temp. I also figured out how to take the leave out. I fill it yup with the hot water, put the mesh basket in, THEN put the leaves in the basket. I then put lid on right and turn it upside down for 5 to 7 minutes. Viola! Perfect steep. Take basket out, dump leaves. While I still don't understand the complicated lid setup (yes, I know it is creating the vacuum), it is the kinda product I can't say enough about. I don't usually do reviews, but this is a sound investment. Though, it is more than usual mugs, you will end up saving time, money, and cabinet space as you will never need another once you get this

Keeps Tea Hot
I purchased this to brew loose leaf tea at work after receiving another Zojirushi Stainless Steel Mug for Christmas. The travel mug keeps the tea hot throughout the day so long as the lid is on. With the lid removed, the tea cools down to warm in about 3-4 hours. Once I left it out in the car over a freezing winter night, and the tea was still warm in the morning. Initially, the lip of the mug is a little harsh (It feels like drinking hot water from a wine glass), but eventually I got used to it.The tea strainer is pretty good. It's fine enough to prevent most loose leafs from falling into the tea and is easy to clean out. There are holes on the sides which allow air to escape while filling up. In case you're wondering, the tea strainer does fit in the Zojirushi Stainless Steel Mug, but it doesn't allow enough room for air to escape and will overflow before filling up.Overall, a great product that keeps me productive throughout the day.P.S. If you put coffee in it, the gaskets retain the coffee smell for a while so remove the tea strainer before you do.

Fantastic - keeps drinks warm for days!
Testing this out, it kept my tea not only drinkable but actually hot for well over 24 hours. As someone who actually prefers their tea to be more warm than hot, I found myself making the tea the night before, and even then leaving it with the cap off for much of the day before I drank any. Actually mind-blowing performance. The lid mechanism is fairly over-engineered but still easy to use and to clean. No leaks!

Probably the best travel mug I've had. Completely leak proof and very light.
The small basket inside for tea leaves is well thought through. Very high quality. It also retains tea hot for 4+ hours. Impressive.

Best thermal with tea filter
Refine thermal design with filter well fitted and top lid can be easily dismantled for wash.
