I wanted a wooden base (as opposed to a glass one) so that I could easily attach the base to the shelf that will support the TV. I was concerned that the chipboard/MDF/whatever material of the base might not be strong enough, however it seems strong and is also reinforced underneath with a horizontal steel structure that's connected to the main vertical steel support strut. It was easy to drill and screw the base to my shelf for earthquake security.I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and ease of installation. This item comes with instructions and an assortment of metric screws that should enable installation of any modern TV. The instructions suggest 55in as a maximum screen size, but my 65 seems fine.

The assembled stand is fine. Getting it assembled is another story. The parts come in packaged plastic pouches marked with letters that correctly correspond to the parts list in the instructions (left side of the book in the picture). However, when you begin to assemble, the part letter called out in the instructions is NOT the part in the pouch with that letter (right side in picture). The first step is to attach the feet, noted as Q in the instructions. Q in the parts bags contained screws. After searching, we found the feet in W. Every part part noted in the instructions was like this. At one point, it called for a letter that was not even in the packages. With parts like feet, it’s pretty easy to figure out, but this set has 5 or 6 different screws/bolts which leads to a fair amount of guesswork and a lot of trial and error. Once we got it together, we were very happy with the stand. My only complaint was that we used this for a small 32” tv, and the brackets show at the bottom. Not a deal breaker for me, and it would not be an issue on a larger tv, but would have preferred it not to show.We purchased this unit with the wood base so that we could screw it to the table for stability since the cat knocked the previous tv off. This would also probably help someone concerned with earthquakes. It was a piece of cake to predrill and attach the screws. Overall, very happy once we made it through the instructions.

It’s a nice and sturdy stand, but the assembly is time consuming. The parts are not labeled according to the instruction, so you get to figure out which one looks most like the picture. The pictures themselves are way too small to make out important details and you can’t actually hang the TV on the stand as described, you have to lay it down. If you make it through the assembly, you get a nice stand, but if you depend on clear instructions, you are not going to like this one.

Perfect tv stand for 50” fire tv .Easy to assemble, did mines in 15-20 minutes. So I definitely recommend to buy. (5) stars*****

i should have read the reviews but i was in a hurry and it matched what i needed. several others have stated that the tv brackets do not fit the tv stand.........AND IT IS TRUE. now my tv is sitting face down on the floor with nothing to stand it on. this is a reminder of why i resisted purchasing online in the beginning as it was to easy to get stuck with junk like this that some overseas supplier does not give a rip if it is a inconvenience because of mass product shipping to the USA. i will back away from purchasing online now that i have been reminded.

Not recommended. Two main issues: (1) the metal stand is not straight, and this causes the tv to point to the left ( or right, depending on orientation). There is no way to adjust or straighten. It is significant and is noticable even from a distance. I purchased two stands and both had this issue. (2) the instructions to assemble the base/stand is incorrect (refers to a part code/letter, but there is no corresponding part labeled in the kit, other part codes are incorrectly identified) which can cause confusion with assembly. Fortunately the hardware for the base stand are black (VESA screws are all silver) so you can easily identify. All necessary parts are included.

I have a stand that is not wide enough for my new 50 inch TV. Stand is 36 inches wide and the standard legs on the TV are 38 inches wide. This mounting stand for the TV solved the problem. It was very easy to assemble and it handles the weight of the TV perfectly. Stand will hold up to 80 pounds and the TV is 22 pounds. The base of the stand is wood rather than tempered glass, and it looks fantastic. It has a black color. It also is able to hide the cables.
