Ibarra Premium Genuine Mexican Chocolate Semi Dark 12 OZ

Wasn't sure about this, as it's a little more expensive than other mexican chocolates. Will absolutely order again, as the taste quality is amazing! Worth the extra!

Not the authentic Ibarra flavor, prbly because it's a powder rather than the block of Ibarra. The powder does make for convenience though, and is tasty when added to the drip coffee maker for added flavor.

Flavor is more spicy and less chocolate then I care for

A noticeably higher quality chocolate for hot cocoa.

Several years ago, I ran my own espresso shop and came across this product at a trade show. Ibarra Mexican chocolate is incredible and smooth. The chocolate flavor is not overpowering like most sugary cocoas and the cinnamon is subtle and delightful. At the time, the product was difficult to source as a small shop owner, so I never carried it in my shop but always dreamed of doing so.Since that time, I have come across many Mexican chocolate varieties that are also tasty, but most have a pungent cinnamon and sometimes spicy cayenne or habanero flavor that shocks your tongue into submission. Ibarra is the only brand I know of that makes a Mexican Chocolate that is unpretentious and reminds me of a cup of cocoa my grandma might make in a saucepan on the stove. YUM!
