Four SigmaticMushroom Cacao with Reishi and Mushroom Instant Coffee with Lion's Mane and Chaga

Wow this is really bitter. I tried adding milk, even tried sugar but this stuff is bitter and tastes awful! I tried it a couple different times just to make sure, since other reviews say how good it is, I thought I must be wrong. But nope, this stuff is bitter and tastes bad no matter what I add to it.

This box is TINY. Roughly 3.25"x3.25" The packets only contain enough to make hot cacao with 3.5 oz of water. I don't know about you, but that's roughly half of what I would drink when I want a hot chocolate. There are exactly four ingredients, all organic - Cacao powder, coconut palm sugar, cordyceps extract, and ginger powder. The product isn't bad, but I was expecting something along the lines of the Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa with the added benefits of cordyceps. When Simply Cocoa goes on sale, I can get a box of 8 for $1. Next time, I'm buying that and adding powdered ginger and cordyceps myself!Product isn't bad, I just can't justify paying this much for this little.

So I have used this brand before, but only as an add-in to other hot cocoa mix, perhaps my next package I'll try mixing with regular hot choc mix bc otherwise I'm not exactly a fan. Also, not really sure I feel any extra energy from it. I am not a coffee drinker and have been trying to find something other than energy drinks to give a little pick-up on those days you struggle a bit. Even if mixing with other hot choc mixes works, for the price I'm probably not going to buy again. If it came in a canister that I could add a little boost, I may consider trying that to see if longer term use improves anything.

I love the “chill” blue box variety of this product and have it almost every night, but this one with ginger taste terrible. There’s just not enough good flavors in it to keep me using it. In fact it’s rather awful. I wish I had gotten a box of the chill variety instead of this. And they don’t allow replacements or returns. Live and learn.

I ordered this product for the first time and accidentally ordered 2 boxes and I was pleasantly surprised. I normally am not a coffee drinker and this is the first time that I have been able to enjoy a cup of mushroom coffee. I have made my own recipe with this mix and I love how it already has some ingredients that I would normally add like cinnamon or cacao. I only wished that there were more packets in the box because by the time that I was getting into the habit of making my boyfriend and I latte's I ran out. A great recipe for a dairy free mushroom coffee with the Chaga and Cacao mushroom Mocha mix is:Almond milk, ghee butter, cinnamon, maca root powder, and collagen peptides. All you do is boil water, pour into mug, add Four Sigmatic and stir. In a small pot on the stove, warm almond milk and dry ingredients and then whisk together. Pour into mug and enjoy :) Another great one from Four Sigmatic!

So, let me start off by saying that I like but I don't love this product. It is not overly creamy nor a real hot Cacao flavor. Seemed like the taste is barely there. I tried it with water, I tried it with Almond milk and I even tried putting 2 packs in to try and make it better but it was just lacking. I don't think I would be ordering this again.

Okay. I tried this because it sounded weird, but it's actually really good! The box was a little busted when I got it, but that just seems to be because it's just flimsy material? When I opened the little packet and put it in the cup I thought "there's no way there's enough powder for a whole mug." Then I poured the water on. Hoo boy, this stuff is RICH. The resulting liquid was SO DARK and SO pretty looking. I was a little intimidated, but I drank it anyway. No weird flavor, just mocha. One point, though: it's bitter. I love super dark chocolate so that wasn't a problem for me. It tastes great hot, but I'm excited to try it iced!

These are packets for a 3.5 oz. cup! While taste can be different for each of us (no, I didn't really like it. Tasted like watered down ginger something-or-other for me) this taste along with the small cup made this a very expensive waste of my money regardless of the health issues. I won't be purchasing again.

I had order this packet due to the good reviews, OMG the stevia flavour was so strong it tastes like posion. I was so upset! l had to bin it. It was horrible!!

I really like the product except one thing. The portion sizes. If I'm paying $2 for an admitted high quality hot chocolate I better be able to put more than 100 ml / 3.5oz of water in there. Is it too much to ask for an 8oz drink? Sure I could double up but now I have $4 drink at 200ml / 7oz.I made a Mocha by using 1 coffee and 1 Hot cacao and that was tasty and got the drink all the way up to 300ml / 10oz but at a price equivalent to going to Starbucks. That's one of the reasons I don't go to Starbucks.I want to use the product but the cost and portioning is prohibitive for me.

I really love this product. It has helped me fall asleep easier and stay asleep as well. It is part of my nightly ritual. I wake up feeling refreshed, energized and a lot more calmer throughout the day. It has helped me not react to stress as strongly as before and has definitely helped to ease my anxiety. I wish the packets had more content for a larger cup and the taste may take some time to get used to. For me the benefits outweigh the cons.

Great product and does in fact work to relieve stress. Always do your research when purchasing "medicinal" products though. I had done research and knew to be careful as reishi shouldn't be taken for someone with low blood pressure so that is the only comment I would make personally.
