The Harvey Comics Companion

A great book filled with info and history of Harvey Comics. The design and layout leave something to be desired but there is so little out there about the world of Harvey Comics the content more than makes up for the design flaws. Aside from the history, (and numerous photos and illustrations) there is an invaluable checklist of the Harvey Publishing history. A must book for fans of Casper, Richie Rich, Sad Sack or comic book history.

Lots of history here, and well-chosen illustrations.

Just a bunch of small blurry scanned snippets of comics with very brief history on them. The history is interesting but I wish the comics were readable. I know reading the comics strips isn’t focus of the book but it’d be a lot more presentable if they weren’t blurry. I’ll try and find the physical copy and the book store and see if it looks in better in print.
