Conair Instant Heat 1 1/4-Inch Curling Iron, 1 ¼ inch barrel produces loose curls – for use on medium and long hair

This is my fourth of this same curling iron, spanning about 25 years. They last well (obviously), curl well, and are a good size and shape and function for my desired styles. The plastic thumb guard came off of my last one a few years ago (after several years of usage), so I had it covered with duct tape. But the heat was gradually decreasing, so I decided to get a new iron. One never knows if the newer ones will be as good of quality - usually the manufacturers make them cheaper and poorer to scrimp on money. But this new iron is just as good as the others I have used for years and years.For some years I would accidentally change the heat setting with my fingers as I used the irons, because of the location on the device - but I learned to stop touching that area. I'm not sure where else they would put that setting changer (perhaps on the cord end), but as I said, I learned to stop changing the setting.I'm still very pleased with this Conair curling iron, and this newest one is as good as my first one many years ago.

I have other sizes of this brand of curling iron, I’m pleased with all of them. The heat control is easy to handle. It heats quickly. It’s lightweight. If I could change one thing, I would prefer a longer cord, but it seems like a standard length.

Works great and really gives a nice curl. After losing all hair after chemotherapy is rough enough but when hair starts growing back it is very hard to come up with some sort of hairstyle that makes one feel and look better. Hats and scarfs of course are always an option, but a cute little, short curly pixie hair style with this 1/2-inch barrel is so much better. Add a headband or small hair clips, it really is a self-esteem uplifter. I love that it has numerous different temperature settings for different types of hair.

I love this curling iron but I have to agree with others who have stated that the finger guard at the end of the barrel could be longer. I have small fingers and still sometimes I'll inadverdantly burn myself - I can't imagine how folks with larger fingers do it. Overall though, it's great.

I ALWAYS purchase this same curling iron. When I need a new curling iron. Ranges 20 different temperatures. Heats quickly. Excellent curling time. LOVE THIS. I won't purchase any other curling iron.

Man, this thing gets HOT right now! It's really easy to use and the cool tip is priceless. There are loads of settings and even a turbo heating element that I'm sure I won't need. Fantastic price for a good product.

This curling iron actually did the job. Looked great cord length was great. The clamp on the barrel was just really tight. So if you do not mind the clamp being as tight as this one than this would be for you. Although I do not recommend this particular one. Although it will do the job and curl your hair, it just takes about 20 minutes longer because you do not wanna rip your hair out of your head
