The Cultured Chef: An International Guide for Kids Who Love to Cook - Workbook Edition (Workbook Edition Volumes 1 & 2)

I’m not sure if this was a grayscale version of a color printing, but the entire book is printed on a grey shaded pages. It makes a lot of pages difficult to read and the lack of color makes it unappealing to its intended audience, kids. Otherwise it’s a great collection of diverse recipes.

Disappointed with the look of this book. It’s dull looking and not very interesting visually for the kids. It would be nice to have a separate activity book, as the majority of the book is not recipes but coloring pages and info about the countries. I do appreciate that, but would prefer it separate.

I have the original book (hardbound color) but I'm loving this edition because it combines the first edition and the upcoming edition - PLUS it has a workbook. In these school-at-home times, it has plenty to keep the kids (and grandkids) busy. I don't mind it being black and white as I'm sure a color edition would be $$$ for the amount of pages and all the resources you get. And frankly, I like the fact that it encourages understanding other cultures in these times when we need more empathy and cultural understanding than ever. And the website has additional resources.

Having ordered the original Cultured Chef Hardcover for my grandkids last year, I thought with them learning from home this workbook would be a fun resource to go with the book! They seem to be quite pleased with it and use it as a jumping off point to learn about other cultures through food and cooking activities.

I have the first edition and while that version is nice, this one is far more practical for working with kids. I was pleasantly surprised at just how much new content is in here. It's all thoroughly researched, easy and fun to read, and with the amount of new recipes, there is something for every taste. My daughter loves picking random recipes and tasting her way around the world. Highly recommend.
