Very bright and work great with the app.

When these go on sale they give you the older version that allows infiltration of water. They know there's an issue with the product, just send out the new ones or put a disclaimer saying these are the older set.

i’ve been eyeing twinkly lights for ages and finally took the plunge for the holidays this year and i looooooove them! the preset lighting designs are a little lacking IMO but even though i haven’t had time to really get into customizing yet, i still have the coolest balcony in the building now! simple setup, really bright and saturated color in the bulbs, timer/scheduling works perfectly, no real complaints here!

We had wanted some small bulb lights for out deck. First reason for getting theses is they are HomeKit compatible (v.2.0 lights). Setup was easy and the basic scheduling (timer) and HomeKit interaction works great. The app works well, there are lots of built in animation presets and an online presets you can download. You can also create playlists of presets to add some variety. One of the nicer parts is you can make your own presets. I think this works, well, but the UI could use some tweaking. You can program each light, but targeting them can be tricky because they overlap in the interface and sometimes you tap multiple light instead of the one you want to target.The main issue (for me) with these lights is color accuracy. If you want colors to match "whites" of various color temperature, it's next to impossible to get that. The mixing of the LED RGB values tends to easily push to blue or green when trying to get a nice warm "tungsten" color. It would be great if these had some Kelvin presets or options that at least match what you would find on a regular household bulb. The app could also use a little work. It would be nice to have a color wheel for selecting the color.We may add in an extension in the future, hoping there is some sort of "bridging" cable to do this because I would like to hang the next set on a railing and would just like to connect it in with the current lights.I would recommend these.

Update: the app added a map rotation feature in XYZ, so accurate mapping is now working great!The advanced (accurate) mapping for the festoon lights uses the same mapping procedure that other Twinkly lights uses, which is aimed at maps you look at from the side. This locks the sky as the top of the map, and ground as the bottom of the map. Which means you can't use advanced mapping to make an accurate 2D-like map for lights that are installed overhead, because your map looks like a piece of paper from the side (completely flat). The basic mapping is better than the advanced, but causes the maps to get warped from perspective changes. Pretty disappointing to spend a bunch of time installing in a nice regular pattern only to have things limited by the app software. At this point I'm not going to spend the time taking them down and returning them, but I probably wouldn't have bought them in the first place if I knew. For such an expensive product, it needs to have proper software support, and this one doesn't.

The media could not be loaded. I have attached a video showing the twinkly lights and a screen shot showing corroded circuits. I love the lights and the fact that I can change the colors. Considering I bought 3 strands of Festoons and I have approximately 10 strands of 'normal' Christmas style lights from Twinkly - you can tell I find the product to be fun/unique. HOWEVER, after owning the Festoons for a year I realized a few lights were going out. I emailed customer service and after NUMEROUS emails/questions where they asked for MULTIPLE videos/pics - they sent me a replacement circuit, but they also sent me RED gaskets because the original OEM black gaskets are having water issues during rain/snow so the circuits have corroded. On a string of 20 bulbs - I have over 10 circuits that have corroded. After they sent me the red gaskets which I had to install...took me hours to do this...I realized I am still having condensation on the inside of the bulb after it rains. Again, more emails to customer service and they agreed to send me replacements even though I am out of warranty. I have owned the product for over a year, but the problem was known before the year warranty was up...I just wasn't smart enough to realize I was going to have major issues. If you look on YouTube you will see a great video describing all the issues with Festoon bulbs. Moral of the long story - make sure your Festoons are not going to wet or make sure they have red gaskets and then hope for the best.

This product is PURE GARBAGE, and their customer service is even worse. Don’t waste your money. From day one I have had problems with defects in the product, and Twinkly refuses to send replacements. They want me to trouble shoot the problem, send them videos then they will ship me repair parts for me to install. This is complete BULLS#%+, I am not doing their work for them! The product is complete garbage. Don’t waste your money!PS I would not have given this product any stars, but that was not an option.

First festoon set had two bulbs changing colors erratically, then the replacement festoon set had three bulbs out. I tried putting them back in but, just fall out of the sockets. One bulb has a pin that just falls out. I put a piece of foil around the pin to make a tighter fit in the socket and carefully widened the pin that was falling out to keep it in contact with the board. They all work great now. The app constantly crashes, forcing you to reinstall the app, losing any patterns you created.

These lights are awesome. And I love them. They came in perfect shape, relatively easy to hook up (I already have other twinkly lights). They look great and are fun to use.

I normally love Twinkly brand lights, so I bought the festoon lights for my patio. Sadly, many of the bulbs had broken parts and wouldn’t light up. Seriously disappointed
