Menopause- the express train to Ugly
Eeehhhhhh, redness and rosacea. I've had perfect skin my whole life until I got on the menopause train. Suddenly my skin is a diva. Everything and anything makes it break out in hives, welts, and rashes. The mirror reflects the sad news- terracotta has replaced my youthful porcelain. I've tried all sorts of remedies and potions with varying degrees of success. I've found, to my delight, that this serum is a miracle for controlling facial redness. Unlike other formulations, it doesn't sting my fussy skin, like melazapam and others of that ilk. In fact it's quite soothing, and I feel a difference in the first application. It has different ingredients than most of the other formulas, and I know we all react differently, but it really works for me and might for you as well. You only need a very small amount, so it's really a very good value. It was shipped rapidly, as well, which I appreciate.Update:12/2017- I feel I should stress that my 5 star review was for the old formula, and the new formula looks quite different from the old one. I was sad to see this. I don’t know why people always have to monkey around with a good thing. I’m gonna have to look for a new product

Seems to Be Helping So Far
I've only had it for about two weeks, but so far it seems to be working pretty well. It doesn't irritate my skin at all, and it definitely doesn't make the redness worse. This, let me tell you, is a huge deal for me, because it seems that everything I've tried in the past has just made my skin even more red. I was told to try the SkinMedica Redness Relief CalmPlex (my dermatologist recommended it) and that crap made my rosacea about five times worse. Then my dermatologist prescribed me with Mirvaso gel, and...oh my God. Don't even get me started on that Hitler cream. Fellow rosacea sufferers, never, EVER try Mirvaso. I don't care how highly your dermatologist recommends it. It made my skin purple for 10 days straight, and I sincerely believe that it made my rosacea worse in the long run. (Seriously, don't take my word for it. Read the reviews online if you're doubtful.) This Rosacea Relief serum is the first product I am trying in an attempt to repair some of the damage caused by the Mirvaso gel, and I can honestly say that so far it seems to be helping. After just two weeks I am less prone to flare-ups, and my rosacea has taken on a more light pink color rather than red. Also, if I do feel a flare-up coming on and apply this, I find that my face starts to cool down within about 20 minutes or so. Hopefully things will only continue to improve in the weeks to come. Again, though, so far I'm very pleased with it. If only I could find a good, gentle facial lotion to pair with it, as it does appear to dry my skin out just a tad.

My skin is pretty flawless and I use the best of very pure/natural ...
Well here goes...I've lived over half a lifetime with skin ailments, everything from dermatitis, eczema, pityriasis rosea, you name it - I've had it. You wouldn't know it to look at me that my skin is so sensitive. My skin is pretty flawless and I use the best of very pure/natural cosmetics and have become a master hiding my glaring rosacea. I've also been to topnotch specialists who couldn't do "diddly squat" other than ointment me with Retin-A, metro-something or rather, etc. We all know the triggers of stress, sun, wind, cold, alcohol, sugars, etc. I've now used this product 3 weeks and I absolutely believe it has soothed my skin and LESSENED the redness CONSIDERABLY. It's very gentle yet effective, surprisingly so. I really would recommend giving it a steady try, testing it on yourself first, of course, but then going with the prescribed minimally, a.m. and p.m. (middle of the day if you can) application. I can't imagine you won't be surprised your rosacea is "calmer" and better. Unless a miracle happens in dermatology? I know I've had this almost a lifetime and it won't go away, but it is definitely and absolutely, improved due to this product. No doubt about it. PegD, San Ramon, CA.

I also had an herbalist recommended Bioflavonex--by pure encapsulations
I don't like giving low reviews but I know Roseacea is a big issue and people need to scavenge hunt for remedies that work. This one really didn't do much other than soften my skin and clam it down. It didn't really or treat the problem I had at all. What did help me is Acid Mantle, Skin Relive which you can get on Amazon. For the same price, I was able to see positive results that last. It did wonders for my face by balancing the PH and it was at the same price as this medicine. I also had an herbalist recommended Bioflavonex--by pure encapsulations. She said that roseacea is sometimes caused by lack of circulation in the capillaries and bioflavonex is supposed to help with circulation. These tablets seem to be clearing up my skin. I also refrain from walking in the sun, always wear a hat that has UV protection and only use Bare Minerals makeup for sunscreen. I'm not suggesting that this gel may not work for everyone. I think different people respond to different things. What works for you may not work for someone else. I was very hopeful when I got it but I've had this condition for a while and so it was not really helping. I needed something to treat the core problem. I personally don't think this did it for me.
