The media could not be loaded. Like I say in the video, I'm Alexafying the house and this is the latest addition. Love being able to control the light by voice from the bed (via my Fire TV Cube). Great for fully illuminating the room or just having a colour on low in the background. Easy to put together, just screws together in a minute. Had a problem with the Wifi linking but that was soon sorted. Full control of the lamp through either the devices app or the Alexa App or if you don't use it remotely, the manual controls are more than adequate

I spent about 30 mins trying to pair my ioS device with the light using the Smart Life app but it timed out each time without pairing. Our router is 2.4/5.0Ghz but it cannot be switched manually to 2.4Ghz, which is the frequency required by the Smart Life app. After watching a YouTube video on the subject I tried walking to the end of the garden with my ioS device and once I had got out of range of the 5.0Ghz (apparently 2.4Ghz has a greater range than 5.0) it paired with the light - happy days!We're very happy with the light so far and find it better than the hue smart bulbs that we have. We have also connected it to Alexa, which was a lot less painful than the pairing, so we'll be trying out the various scenarios, etc in the coming days.

Far too bright!

Using the little instruction booklet Page 6 shows 2 methods to get the lamp into pairing mode. Both of them worked one time when I tried to test them but then I couldn't get them to work again. Or they may have stayed in pairing mode without showing that fact. I would have preferred if the light kept flashing rather than switch off so you know it's in still in pairing mode. I tried and tried to get it to do the pairing mode flash again but nothing. Anyway, I thought I'd got a dud, I nearly gave up and was about to send the thing back when I noticed on the Amazon listing there was a very straightforward set of instructions. I tried it that way and it worked perfectly. In case you can't find them here are the instructions:1. Download "Smart Life" APP, register an account and sign in;2. Assemble the floor lamp, plug in and turn on the lamp;3. Long press the ON/OFF button on the pole until the lamp starts to blink;4. The floor lamp will blink fast then stop, and flash slow 3 times and stop flashing, it means it is ready to be paired;5. Go to the "Smart Life", click "+" on the upper right corner;6. "Add Manually", Choose "Lighting", "Lighting Source (Wi-Fi)"7. Choose your 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and input the correct Wi-Fi password;8. Check "Confirm indicator rapidly blink", click "Next"9. Start to searching devices, few seconds later, it will be successfully connected.I have a Virgin Hub 3.0 WiFi router with both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz wifi frequencies. You must pair the lamp to the 2.5 GHz channel or it won't work.Once connected to Smartlife and then Alexa I can make the light any colour or brightness level I want from the comfort of my bed. I use my phone as a remote. It seems a lot of people thought this comes with a remote even though it doesn't say that anywhere on the listing!Again note: this lamp connects via WiFi, not Bluetooth.The only other observation I would make is that imho, it's not bright enough to light a large room, but it's still a great lamp and I'm happy I bought it.

The media could not be loaded. I first got 1 then another and I've now bought 2 more making 4 in total. I plan to replace all my floor lamps with these. They are really sleek and modern, the lamp is very bright I hardly use 100% brightness, a great alternative to standard floor lamps and best of all, you can create amazing mood/ ambient lighting. Works perfectly with Alexa too for home automation. Just perfect for me. I wish they come in other standard colours too like white and silver.

The actual light is great - it feels well made and sturdy - the usb port and touch controls work well and the colours/brightness are better than expected. However, I have not been able to pair this to the smart light app. I have lots of experience with this app and pairing other smart lights to it but the light I received is unable to pair to the app. I am not sure if this is a defect with my product or every one

This item arrived safe and well packaged.If you want to voice control your house, then lamps like this are essential kit. Just connect this to your wifi network by simply turning the light switch on/off, then pair them with your favourite Smart Home controller - like Alexa!I have wifi lights all over my house, and have many different programs set up too. This allows the lighting (and other devices) to be fully automated... or switched on/colour changed/dimmed with a simple voice command!! That's the kind of thing I've seen in movies set in the future... but it's here right now!This lamp has the ability to produce any colour and many many different levels of brightness, giving you full control of your smart home. I have one of these installed in the lounge, which gives me full control of the ambience of the room. Typically we use it to create a colour wash up the wall and over the ceiling, but when you need to read or see something in brighter light, this can light up the entire room with just a couple of spoken words!I highly recommend this product.

Must have got a defective unit because the power pad on the front (not an on/off button as it doesnt press down) stopped working after 2 days and now when the app connects you can't change the brightness as it just jumps back up by itself to full. Wouldn't be a bad lamp at all if it worked properly
