Perfect for My Needs
Our soil is exceptionally rocky, so creating a garden area requires quite a bit of labor. The KS Kabells-Sifter for Garden- Compost Screen Sifter has been perfect for sifting our pebble-sized stones to reuse in the garden path. In the first image, you can see the pebbles sifted out and in the third, a small pile of topsoil (on left) remaining. Just for reference, the fourth image shows some of the larger rocks we picked out before sifting. After a couple of months use, it is still holding up and doing the job.

Works as advertised
I have used this for about 5 yards of dirt so far it works well . I cut a notch at the end of each handle and now it works great in my gorilla cart. Would recommend this in the 1/2 size if you needed smaller screening you could just put a 1/4 inch screen over it but the half inch size is great.

Best when you have a lot of screening to do
Ordered a smaller screen with smaller grid first. With a 300 sq ft area to screen to 7 inches deep, we needed the big boy. I know I could make one but time is money. This unit works well. Holding up well to lots of heavy rocks. If I decided to make my own, I could customize it to perfectly fit my wheelbarrow as far as the "arms" go. But I would recommend this product if you do not want to bother with DIY. The screen grid is fine for most work. You may want to drop down in size for really fine screening.

KS Kabells-Sifter Used to Remove Large Gravel, Rocks, for Improving Soil
This is an excellent product, and I am a very critical reviewer. I purchased a new home and the builder's landscaper used contractor-grade "soil" that is full of large gravel and rocks. I used the Kabelis Sifter in a wheelbarrow kept at an angle and simply shoveled in the rocky soil allowing the larger gravel to be trapped above the wire 1/2 inch mesh. The sifted soil is actually pretty good despite many small pieces of gravel, but I have added in compost and manure to condition my "new" soil. I am hoping that the small pieces of gravel will act as "aerators" for the soil.My only suggestion to Kabelis is that they offer for an additional fee a 1/4 inch wire mesh that could be inserted over the 1/2 inch mesh. I have purchased a 3 foot wide roll but I did not need 20 feet given the Kabelis is essentially 3 feet by 2 feet. I will see how my 3x2 cutout works and hopefully remember to provide an update. This is a very good product and I highly recommend it.

Will be better if the pressure treated wood is used.
The sifter is designed to do what it is supposed to do, but I had to apply 3 coats of the wood protector to protect the wood, since it is not pressure treated.

Sifts well
This works great with our composter on top of our wheelbarrow.

Frame Fell Apart, Mesh Sagging
SUPER disappointed with the quality of this product. You'd think for the price this would last - wrong, it completely fell apart after only having sifted a few gallons of compost. huge bummer, don't buy this product!

Good design. Weak materials
The design is good. It's bigger than I expected i.e. too big to sift back and forth by hand. But it fits well on a wheelbarrow or large trug tub. Be aware that it's made of unfinished soft wood so will need some kind of treatment to last. After using it just a couple of times the wire mesh is stretching and sagging and I wonder how long the wire will hold out.
