Love this author. relatable and poignant.

I think my heart is okay, but I can't be too sure after reading this collection of pose and poetry. Each page is filled to the brim with words that tear at you, desperately seeking to be heard and understood. Poetry is always such a unique experience for me, because I feel as if the author hands you their heart and says 'this is everything I feel', and Mahr lays it all out, weaving such emotion through her poems that it was nearly too much to take at times.Beauty and perfection.

The prose are even more beautiful than the cover. Fans of Rupi Kaur's "milk and honey" and "the sun and her flowers" and Lang Leav's "The Universe of Us" will LOVE this book. Such a beautiful interpretation of heartbreak, grief and moving forward. I've already read it twice!

I come late to the Kristina Mahr fan club, having followed her on Instagram for less than a year now.In short, this is one of the finest first books of poetry I have ever read. Ms Mahr certainly touches on the universal with the themes of love and loss, and explores each in exquisite detail. To think she must have written several poems a day, such prolific output, when the consecutive poems don't just flow, one into each other, but can capture entirely different elements of her journey, that fact alone amazes me.Fair warning: if you are looking for bluebirds chirping and cozy cat sleeping on a sunlit windowsill, and nice tidy happy endings, this volume is not for you. But if you have ever been in love, and have ever had that love affair come to an end, I expect you will find this volume of poems eminently relatable.My poor words do not suffice to say how highly I recommend this book to lovers of poetry, and to lovers.

This purchase is a no-brainer. If you have been following Kristina's instagram page, you are well aware of her devastatingly poignant prose. You will find solace in familiar themes, and maybe even shed new light on your own experiences through Kristina's well crafted metaphors. If you have a heart, if pieces of it are scattered behind you like a trail of bread crumbs across the people and places you wish to bring home, this is a great read for you.

For anyone who has experienced devastating heartbreak, be careful going into this book of poetry. It will take you right back to it. Every aching moment is painstakingly described poem by poem. You can feel as Mahr's moods shift with time...through rage, sadness, devastation, and, still, hope. I started marking my favorites, but I already had 10 by the halfway point. If you are looking to really FEEL for a good hour or so, pick this one up.

This collection of poems, is deeply beautiful. The author has a way of describing loss and realization in ways that I as a reader, really connected to. I am so happy to have this book in my home library.

Kristina Mahrs work is so beautiful..you will pick up this collection of poems and not be able to put it down until you turn the last page and sigh that it is over.
