Impressive 4K projector with Android TV OS built-in
I’m a Capsule 2 user since 2019. The Capsule 2 is good, but not great for daytime-use especially in the bigger family room with large windows due to the limited brightness and resolution. This Cosmos Max caught my eye because of its design and 4K specs.Pros:1. The design and built quality is great. Love the starlight top panel design.2. The 4K image quality is bright and clear, good enough to use during the day in the family room.3. The Android TV OS is easy to use. I use Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video a lot and work perfectly so far.4. The sound quality of the built-in speaker is great and loud, bass is very powerful. Looks like it supports Dolby digital plus.Cons:1. So far not much to complain, but for this price, I do hope this is a ultra short throw projector so I can put it in front of the wall.2. This projector is quiet, but not as quiet as my low er brightness & res Capsule, understood the 2500 lm generates much more heat. Other options like laser projectors on the market are too pricey3. The Netflix and Prime video needs to be installed via the Nebula Manager app, it is very easy to install so I'm fine with it.Overall, a great smart 4K projector to try.

The best projector for family fun
Bought it as a Thanksgiving gift for my husband. Perfect resolution when projecting to my wall, look even clearer than my 4K TV.Pros:1. Easy to setup. Although it is said that it is an "Android TV", but I can easily connect it to my iOS then project iPhone video (e.g. from Youtube) to the whole wall ;2. Perfect for kids. Since the resolution is pretty high (4k), my kids really enjoy it and I believe this high-resolution/large screen will be good for their eyes;3. Internal speaker. This is a big plus for our home. I don't have a media room where can fit all speakers. The internal speaker from the projector brings fabulous sound and better HD quality compared with my current soundbar. Cons:1. I think the only con could be a little pricey, a little bit over my budget. However, compared with the quality it brought to you, I am pretty satisfied with it and you should love what you paid for.

Poor Black Levels, broke after one year.
We purchased this projector to upgrade our 1080p DLP projector. I expected to be immediately blown away by the picture quality, but was severely disappointed. The "4K" was not any improvement over 1080p, and the black levels were so washed out, we were unable to watch dark movies. I spent hours adjusting settings and levels trying to make it optimal, but never was able to correct this problem. We kept the projector since we had gotten rid of the old one and just decided to live with it. Colors still looked good and to its credit it was bright enough to see with all of the lights in the room on. Gaming was also good, we just never would watch any movies that were dark due to the wash out. However, 1 year and 3 months later, the projector no longer turns on. Of course, it is 3 months out of warranty. We also would only use it 1-2 times a week max, which I consider light use. This has been the biggest disappointment we have purchased through Amazon to date. I would look elsewhere and focus on longer established brands. It may be worth it in the long run to spend slightly more.

Like being at the movies!
Whether I'm watching regular network tv or a movie in uhd from one of my streaming services the picture quality is excellent. I have a Sony 85k 43" that I use to watch in the bedroom but hardly ever use now that I have this in the living room. I'm guessing if I compared them side by side the Sony might have a better picture but I can't tell the difference otherwise.I have it set back a little over 10ftwhich gets me about 105" picture.I am using a white wall as a screenand it works perfectly,so I see no need to buy a screen. The sound quality is also great, it has 4 speakers with Dolby audio and it almost sounds as good as my Sonos Beam. It also has Google Android 9.0 built in, if you don't have a streaming device. Also it has an LED bulb that says last the life of projector 30,000 hrs so no changing bulbs like lamp projectors. The negatives I would say are not as many settings like my tv such asPicture settings are very limited and no audio adjusments, remote has no mute button and easy to hit the wrong button till you get used to it. I mostly use my Roku Ultra. There is some fan noise but I didn't find it distracting even with it right next to me but you might notice in quieter scenes. The picture can be made smaller from 30" to 150" if you have a bigger living room but I left it at the 105" size I got when I set it up.Now as far as what settings to use for picture I have never agreed with all of the settings experts offer. I like Standard picture mode. Brightness stays at 100. Contrast 65 and instead of offering the usual warm, cool they have numbers so I did use the settings I took from an expert review to supposedly give me a warm picture. In Advanced settings, Under color temperature R-49,G-46,B-43I left the Saturation,Hue and Gain settings as is,tried adjusting to expert settings but preferred the default. Also in Advanced changed Gamma to 1.8 it makes the picture a little brighter, but be warned if you change the picture mode to anything else like movie everything resets to default another negative I forgot to mention. Also it has something called Keystone correction which lines up the picture perfectly flat against the wall so you can put the projector where you want but the experts say don't use it because it affects the brightness.I wasn't able to line it up perfectly without moving furniture which I didn't want to do so I used it.Don't bother with Auto Keystone it only corrects Vertical unless that's your only issue my Horizontal was also off so I used manual correction. I found it's better to usethe Quadrilateral Keystone correction had less effect on screen size and leave the Vertical and Horizontal set to default 0.The picture does look best in a darker room so having a lamp with a dimmer bulb or shutting light off.I also recommend room darkening shades which let's some light in if you want like I have which I use with blackout curtains partially closed. I've always wanted a big screen TV and this beats buying a huge TV and dealing with the setup and if I move put in back in the box and done!
