The Perfect Journal
I am So delighted with this product! I read that others were disappointed because the color appeared to be more of a "washed out turquoise" as opposed to the vivid blue they saw pictured. Mine was slightly lighter than the photo, but I happened to like turquoise. And I wanted a high quality journal to record special memories for my Grandchildren and this journal is more than ideal! I received it just yesterday and have already recorded two entries. I am very, very pleased with this item!

GORGEOUS!!!
It's so beautiful! I use it for a daily journal and I leave it on a table because it's just that pretty. I love the sturdy metal clasps and the detailing on the cover and how the design idea is explained inside the back cover. Pages are thick and the whole journal has such a sturdy feeling. There is a fabulous pocket in the back to keep loose papers or mementos in. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a pretty journal to write things in.

Elegant Journal
I originally saw these journals in Barnes and Noble. They were so beautiful but I wasn't set on a color and I didn't like the $32 price tag. But I couldn't get this elegant, historically themed journal out of my mind. Here, I found it in a beautiful teal and was sold! The metal, magnitized clasp work perfectly and there is even a side pocket in the back! The pages are fairly thick, but I choose not to write on the back.My sister saw mine and loved it so much she immediately purchased one for herself! Truthfully, I may even order another for future use! I can't wait to read it in the years to come and reflect on experiences now!

Beautiful vintage look. Luminous color.
I waffled about getting this journal. I was afraid it would be a little too big, but the next size down was a little too small, so I went for it and it is gorgeous. I love the cover, which is what got me in the first place. The blue is luminous and the journal overall looks and feels old. I do wish the page holding ribbon was blue or gold instead of red, but on the other hand, the color does stand out and make tracking down the marker easy. The pages are a light, antique-y cream color. Lightly lined. The page edges have a sort of leaf pattern. Subtle and pretty. The clasps add to the old world feel. The book is absolutely as represented by the seller. I will be using it as my next bullet journal.I won't be using the journal for a couple more weeks, as I complete the one I have, but I can't wait.

Just Buy It!!! You Won't Regret It!!!
I use this journal to write all about my current boyfriend whom I love more than I've ever loved anyone in my life!!! Just as the one about my ex on my other review this was chosen because it reminds me of my wonderful boyfriend! His favorite colors are gold and blue!!! The fact that it looks like a masterpiece fits because he is truly a masterpiece. I love how the design is Christian as we are also both Christian. I'm a huge fan of Peter Pauper as I've said on my other review!!! Paperblanks journals are always so stunning and such an amazing quality. The pages are very sturdy and so is the hardcover journal itself. I love the magnetic clasps that close it. It has a big pocket in the back of the journal to fit things inside of which is very nice and convenient. As all this brand's journals in the back it has history of the cover which is always interesting to know. It might be expensive but you won't get better quality like this in many other brands. Bottom line if you love great quality gorgeous journals and love to write a lot BUY IT!!!

wish the item had been properly inspected before it was shipped to me.
I purchased the journal as a gift for someone who enjoys writing. I wanted a beautiful item for her to use. It should have been in good condition, but it was not.The item arrived with dents in the side and with pages curled inward even though the journal was still locked in the closed position. It was clearly not giftable, even though one could still write on it.I returned it. Unfortunately, the shipping expense is pretty high. I probably should have kept it since it cost me so much to mail. I would not attempt a mail order of this item again.

GORGEOUS EMBOSSED JOURNAL
This is simply gorgeous. Expensive for a 7x5 journal, but I think its worth itHeres why....This is a great idea for a gift! The "locks" on the side are easy to use, there's no feeling of sticking or tightness to them, and they stay closed even after I shook it and spun it around. The color is exactly what I expected. The front and back cover are an antiqued azure blue, with the gold pattern embossed into the covers. There is a softness to the covers as well - a little "squish" to them as if there's the slightest bit of padding beneath them. The paper/pages are beautiful, solid, with a lovely texture. The pocket on the inside of the back cover is a great addition for loose pages, dried flowers, or other relatively flat mementos.I would definitely buy more of these from Paperblanks.

All the books from this "gang" are beautiful - this is no exception
I have to have a steady stream of journals with page separators glued on, kind of like in 3rd grade. I make animations and I need to track every pixel, every adjustment, every change zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,.....Maybe it's just me, but when faced with boring tasks that HAVE to be done continuously, I find it so much easier when ( for example) I go to a beautiful book, open the hinges on this one,(in others the pages are lined in gold) and start writing. They look nice on our bookshelves too. At least I think they do and I'm the one with the cool journals.

Works of art but very practical
These are excellent books. They take most fountain pen inks. It is possible that some very 'wet' writers may bleed through.Generally speaking though fine and medium point nibs are fine. I think the cover and closing clip in this particular notebook is really fun. You'd think that any contents would be words of great import instead of', at least in my case, lists of 'things to do', passwords for various internet sites which are so difficlt to remember. In my case none of the sites names are listed with their particular password - I have to remember which site belongs to which passsword. which is slightly easier, but not without its own problems! Plus lots of other guff. Anyway, enough of rambling on aboĂșt my contents. Back to the book itself. The paper is very good quality and the lines are not so heavy that if you want to add sketches or diagrams they will not ruin your artistic efforts. There is also afairly substantial 'pocket' attached to the back inside cover for other bits and pieces. Althogh mine is so stuffed full of this and that it"s beginning to separate from the cover. This is my problem and not anything to do with the book itself. So, finally, This and other varieties from same producer are really nice. The covers are beautifuly decorated and would make excellent presents or as a treat for yoursself.

Fountain pen friendly journal
Very nice cover but the pleasant surprise is how good the paper is. Off white which is good for extended writing (low fatigue) and very good for fountain pens. The paper doesn't feather with fountain pen ink, it's smooth to write on and it's very resistant to bleed through - I'm happily writing on both sides.Only doesn't get 5 stars because the clasps open on their own from time to time, which is mildly annoying.

Love the Paperblanks range. Awesome.
I'm a bit fan of Paperblanks, I think their range is just so beautiful. It makes it a joy to write in and use. The beauty of the covers make me just want to display them to be honest! I have them on book shelves and just look at them sometimes. I know it sounds nuts but they're just gorgeous. This one in particular is beautiful and unusual and I haven't seen it in the shops.

Slightly disappointed with this journal
Slightly disappointed with this journal. Both the blue and the gold are dull and compared to the other lovely journals, it is not in the same class.
