This is a nice tapestry, with bright colorfast colors. I saw so many conflicting reviews I didn't know what to expect! The colors do look somewhat different in person- the background is a very dark purple, so dark I had to look closely to make sure it's purple, but it is. Mine is like a dark eggplant purple. It's still a really pretty tapestry though. It's true that there is a dye type of smell to it when you receive it, but all it takes is a wash or two, and hanging it up outside for a day, and the smell is gone within several days to a week. I've bought several Indian tapestries, and that's always the case. None of them have the dye smell anymore. The fabric is sturdy and but not stiff. I'd definitely buy one again!

My daughter ordered this to take to college in the fall to hang on her dorm wall. It arrived about a week after we ordered it which was a big surprise as the website indicated it wouldn't arrive for a month to 6 weeks. The colors are beautiful; vibrant and eye-popping. Keep in mind that we thought it had some royal blue and teal in it, and it definitely does not. It has a lot of navy blue, "grass" green and orange on it. It did have a smell to it, as was indicated by many other reviewers, but it was not some horrid over-powering smell. It really smelled more like strong dye. I did wash it several times with scented beads, Febreeze, etc. and it is much better now. Still not odor-free, but nothing that you would even notice if it was hanging on your wall. After multiple washes, the color still looks great, and although it is 100% cotton, I took a chance and put it in the dryer. It did not shrink, and even if it had, this wall hanging is so big that you wouldn't have noticed a slight shrinkage. I don't usually write reviews, but felt that many people were bashing this product for unfair reasons!

Love this tapestry! Bought it to cover an oversized chair. Ordered the King size and it fits perfectly.The design and coloring are exactly as described. I am also pleasantly surprised with the quality. Threw it in the washer on light duty with a few other colored items then popped it in the dryer on low heat for approximately 15 mins (just to soften the fabric). Finished the drying process on the clothesline to be safe but I do believe it could've stayed in the dryer. The dye smell lifted after just 1 washing, the colors did not run and the seams remained in tact.I would absolutely recommend this product. The crafstmanship and fabric quality are impressive for the price.

I'm a little disappointed that the colors in the mandala were not the same as what is pictured. I'm trying to pull out green and orange, so I liked that the center mandala would be orange and green....but the one I got just has more red instead (which I didn't want). It's still a pretty wall hanging, I just think it's important to be transparent and not send out something that is not the same. I mean, take another photo to advertise instead.

Absolutely perfect!Nice weight to it (not a cheap knock off).Sturdy cotton.The 'smell' some people mention is just the dye. I've gotten some from here with more dye smell and with less. Just wash it and it will be fine. Washing will also smooth the fold lines.The colors are beautiful! Anyone who has a problem with these has clearly not been exposed to other Indian tapestries.These are legit. Beautiful. I couldn't be more thrilled!Some places sell printed ones- not dyed. And those are terrible imo. This is perfection.I'm so happy that I found this store.

I wanted a cotton tapestry and took a chance on this one. So happy with the quality that I bought a second one. The fabric is nice weight (I used as headliner in a truck topper); sizes available that fit my needs; and I was pleased when pre-washing the tapestry that there was very minimal fading. And the patterns available are very pretty.

Gorgeous colors, I didn’t want something that I could see through and this is what I was looking for. It’s actual cloth and not that polyester style.

Love the vibrant colours. Good size covers most of a Queen size bed. Use it as a light blanket or wall hanging.

Das Tuch, was ich bekommen habe, sieht auch sehr schön aus und das Muster stimmt mit dem Produktbild überein, aber die farben sind sehr anders. Das Blau ist viel intensiver, das Orange und Rot fast die gleiche Farbe (Hellrot) und das Grün ist kaum vom Blau zu unterscheiden. Ich habe das Tuch ausgewählt, weil es so schön intensiv und lebendig wirkt, in real macht es das ZImmer ein Stück dunkler als ich es gern gehabt hätte.
