We are very pleased with our purchase of the Kokofit Air Purifier. The Kokofit Air Purifier was shipped double boxed so it arrived in excellent condition and arrived when promised. This air purifier is compact, easy to operate, and very quiet in night mode and in automatic mode. The instructions for unpacking, installing the filter, and operating the unit is simple and easy to follow. The unit starts up in Auto mode and we were surprised at how silent it is!. The control panel buttons lit up and there was a soft gentle flow of air rising from the top of the unit. We tried the mode settings: Auto, Night, High, and Medium. We can hear the fan in the high and medium modes but choose the Auto Mode which adjusts the fan speed according to the air quality it senses. Under normal conditions, it runs silently and does an excellent job of maintaining a clean air environment. We have had two incidents where the unit increased air flow, once when we cooked some popcorn and the other time when a pan of veggies burned a little on the stove. The higher speed made the unit audible but not noisy for about a half an hour whereupon it returned to running silently.The initial reason for purchasing an air purifier was to address my chronic sinus congestion and sneezing fits which occurred every morning for months before the crack of dawn. This respiratory condition was no doubt exacerbated by the smoke laden air quality of the Pacific Northwest during all the forest fires this summer. We live in an old, small wooden building with mold, mildew, and moss issues. I did not have these sinus issues prior to living in this home. It was an unbearable situation so we started looking for solutions. The reason we chose the Kokofit Air purifier was primarily for its excellent air quality specifications, its silent operation under normal conditions, and its reasonable price. The excellent reviews of other uses also contributed to our selection of this air purifier. We are pleased with the replacement filter cost and its anticipated replacement schedule of 6 months under normal operating use. Based on our one month's operation, we expect the filter to last more than 6 months before needing replacement. After a month of this air purifier's unobtrusive operation, the air quality in our home has dramatically improved my quality of life. We are very pleased with this air purifier. We also purchased two additional units for each of our two daughters in CA who also suffer with seasonal allergies and smoke from summer fires.

My family lives in a rural area on old family land, surrounded by forests and hayfields. An allergy sufferer's nightmare. In addition, the hayfield next door provides us with a year-round endless supply of field mice, and even though over the years I've sealed pretty much any possible entrance point into the house, they sometimes find a way in.So we have cats. We have five cats, two of which I know "work" on the mice, and two others I suspect do some half-hearted freelancing. The fifth one stays indoors because that's all he's ever known, and to be honest, we don't think he'd survive outside. He's Harry. Harry Pawter, if you must know, and he's the only one we've actually gone and picked out and brought home. The others are retired hobos, satisfied to be professional manipulators now until their alien kin call them back home to whatever planet they came from.Our two girls, Ella (Ella Bella or Ella May) and Zazzles (Zazzie or Zazzie Pooh), and my big ol' Cap'n Crunch (Cappie), are in and out at different times of the day, bringing all sorts of outside air contamination with them. Only Churchill (Churchy), the feral cat who lived next door under an abandoned home for a year until realizing we had food, stays outside all the time. (He will allow me to pet him and stroke his fur anytime I have the magical talisman of the Food Container with me, but acts as if I'm the humane society guy with a net at all other times.)So, after beginning my annual and lifelong torment of Excessive Morning Time Running Nose and Sneezing, my wife and I decided to find an air purifier. I looked at many, many brands and read many, many reviews and was ready to spend about $500 when I came across this Kikofit unit and read the many glowing reviews here. I checked on other shopping sites too, and got the general impression that this would be a pretty good bargain at $200. So I ordered it, and aside from a mishap by the local USPS (the driver didn't feel the need to complete her route the night the unit was supposed to arrive so I got it the next day), it came right on time as promised.We've been using it for about two weeks now and I can honestly tell a difference in the air quality in our home. The different modes are very convenient, but I just leave it on automatic all of the time. I'm kind of insensitive to noise when I sleep, so it wouldn't bother me even on high speed all night. I'm one of those who sleeps with a sound machine to cover up the fits and starts of the four felines that usually sleep indoors with us. Ella is the chief offender, and leads Harry into the Valley of Temptation with her running about, so unlike other reviewers I'm thankful for the sound of the Kokofit. 😁I like that I can tell the machine is working just by the sound level. Anything that occludes the air can apparently be seen by the machine's eye and dealt with. Something burning on the stove? The Kokofit picks it up before the smoke alarm does. Someone spraying hair spray? It'll rev up and go to work. Heck, I sneezed loudly two rooms away (I can't sneeze softly) and the machine immediately sped up. I don't know how, but it did. Air pressure variation? We're very happy with the responsiveness of the unit.My only question is how long the filter will last and if the machine will signal it needs to be changed before it's actually clogged. Time will tell on that one. And of course, I don't know how difficult it will be to get a new filter when the day comes that I do need it. The media could not be loaded.  After my wife's allergies became serious this year, I started to consider buying an air purifier. My wife has severe allergies, and we have two cats, they bring extra pollen. This purifier looks promising and not too expensive. This unit is great so far. This is a good size for our living room, very smooth and does not take up much space. The setup is also very simple. It looks really good quality! The fans have different speed grades, even at the highest speed this unit is quite quiet. I slept very lightly, so this was a huge advantage for me, I even forgot it was there. This also helps to cool the room a little bit, and the filtered air blows out a little bit cooler. I noticed that in the past few days, my wife seemed less crowded at night. Overall, this is a great product and I am very happy with this purchase.It has been running for 5 days in my living room. Kick it low when she is not there, and lift it high when she is there. Her runny nose did not come back! ! ! ! Her poor broken nose is healed! Her eyes are no longer red and moist, and her annoying cough is no longer. According to the weather forecast, we have reduced her sinus medicine from 3 times to 1 or 2 times. Definitely recommend! ! ! !My wife has been suffering from chronic sinus problems for about 3-4 weeks, I bought this on a whim. I'm so happy! It was delivered a week ago. I removed all the plastic from the filter, put it back in place, plugged in, cleaned up the smell from the packaging, and put it in her room. She woke up this morning with no nasal mucus, no runny nose and so on. Surprisingly, it is light and quite quiet! ! !In a word,it's worth the money!!!Definitely recommend! ! ! !

I notice that the room always feels fresher and the automated sensor will just clean it up when it needs freshening.

This unit is very loud, sounded like a jet air plane. This unit is very tinny. not a good quality unit.
