Boon Snug Sippy Lids and Cup

Ok... I have to admit something. I love these sippy lids (and the straw lids too). Are they perfect? No. Are they crazy versatile, easy to use, easy to clean and help contain drinks? YES!I’ll elaborate. We use these on top of 8oz mason jars. My 12 month old uses the sippy lids and my 3.5 year old uses the straw lids. They are made of a soft and stretchy silicone. Just pop one of these bad boys over any appropriately sized cup and BOOM! Instant sippy. No hunting for the “matching cup”, no more hard to clean crevasses or unseen but lurking mold. These are dishwasher safe and have no hidden nooks and crannies. You can rest easy knowing that they are 100% clean! They also travel well. I keep one in my diaper bag for restaurants, friends houses, etc.Yes, they do break down over time. The holes for the air vent can become stretched out and start to leak. Some reviewers say they ripped at the sides, although I have never had that problem with the mason jars. Sounds like more of a metal cup issue. In 3 years I have replaced these lids one time. A 3 pack is less money than one fancy sippy cup.All in all these are a great product and I would purchase them again (if needed).

The media could not be loaded. We have decided to convert all of our plastic sippy cups into stainless steel cups so that we can stack them and have a cleaner cupboard. Also, there's the whole angle of not wanted plastics in our house as much as possible. Because our kids are 1.5 and 3, we still need to have lids for our cups. Our youngest can use a straw, but she loves to pull straws out and splatter her drink everywhere, so we decided to order these sippy lids just for her.The lids are excellent. They are a flexible silicone that is easy to get on the cup and easy to wash. Our 1.5 year old has no problem drinking from them. They are almost like a bottle nipple for her, in that they are flexible in her mouth (unlike our other sippy cup lids that are hard).With our plastic sippy cups, our daughter also likes to turn the cup upside down and let her milk pour out. These lids do not leak when they are poured upside down. There's an airtight seal that prevents the liquid from getting out. SCORE!!!In short, this is the perfect solution for our storage, leaking, and plastic issues!UPDATE: 3 weeks into using these lids, one of them ripped. I think it's because we used it on the Caveman steel cups, and they don't have the rolled lip to them--just a sharp steel lip. Anyway, I uploaded a photo so you can see how it ripped right along the lip of the cup. Still love the lids so not changing my star rating. Luckily, this happened within 30 days of ordering the lids, so Boon is sending a replacement once I send this back.

I was surprised to like this product! I actually bought them on a whim on black friday and expected to have them join our big bucket of assorted unloved sippy cup parts rapidly. I have a toddler and nanny another toddler full time and we burn through a lot of sippy cups and have tried dozens of brands and types. I love the versatility of these and how easy they are to wash. No parts to put together and take apart every time I use or wash them is fabulous and they are usable with a ton of different types of cups. They have held up to my teething 15 month old through a couple of uses so far which is a plus. Now for the cons. These are NOT leak-proof. Leak resistant, yes for sure. But the vent hole for air to come into the cup as they suck on it is very easily opened from the pressure of noses against cups or from the lid simply being stretched tightly over a wider-rimmed cup. They work great for at mealtimes or under supervision but I definitely wouldn't use them for naptime water cups or there will be a wet mess! These are made of silicone which is great for washing and stretching, but I have a feeling that my toddler is going to chew right through them as soon as he starts getting a few more teeth. We've used them multiple times so far though and not a hole in sight. I definitely will recommend these to friends, and likely will buy a few more because there are things I love about them. They aren't likely to replace Gerber Graduates Fun Grips Hard Spout Sippy Cup in Assorted Boy Colors, 10-Ounce, 2 count as my all-time favorite sippy cups anytime soon though!

Best invention since Tupperware! Great in so many ways. In my opinion, these are just as 'spill proof' as any other top making that claim. These are awesome lids just as they are but also filled a need I had. I make a lot of smoothies for my child but only had one lid (a vintage Tupperware sippy lid) which would stop a smoothie from going everywhere if tipped over but still has enough of an opening to allow a very thick drink to pass through. Of course this is not how they're meant to be used (and would absolutely leak if you put them on like this & filled with water), but if you turn them inside out and then put them on the cup the hole stays stretched open so they make a perfect 'smoothie sippy cup', alleluia! Bonus, they have worked on every cup I've tried. Super duper bonus, they're way easier to clean than any other sippy cup top thanks to the one piece, stretchy/flexible design. No more cleaning those tiny valves or impossible to reach crevices on the hard plastic sippy tops!

These lids are wonderful! Gone are the days of me searching for the favorite sippy cup under couches and under benches. Instead of investing $13 for one cup $10 buys me 3 lids! They fit cups small to large (although probably wouldn't work on a water bottle). Love that they are pretty spill proof (if you hold upside down and shake, you will get a few drops). Easily portable easy to clean, all around a good buy. Watch out the first couple times you put it on, if you don't hold onto the cup tight enough you may spill trying to get it on, but you'll get the hang of it soon. My almost 2 year old loves these over his old favorite sippy😄
