Garden Meadow R1203B Solar Vase with Blue Light, 30-Inch

I just received these Solar Vases, and I was aghast to see that they are white, not black (as pictured). If you are intending to use them indoors as part of an overall decor (like me), then this might be a deal breaker. I'm keeping them for TWO reasons: (1) they work as advertised, and (2) for some reason, they were priced at HALF off of their current price - and HALF off what EVERYONE else on the internet has these for (look around). The pricing had to be a mistake, because after I placed my order for two of them, the price went up the next day to match the price for these Solar vases everywhere else they're sold.Anyhow, though they are meant for the outdoors, they make great modern art/contemporary decor pieces. The vases are closed on top, meaning that you won't use these to put anything inside. Since my apartment makes heavy use of LED lighting and other effects, the blue glow from these vases fits right in. If the white color gets on my nerves, then I will take the LED light at the base out, along with the plastic "bulb" tube (both of which come out easily), and just spray paint the vase black.Again, the picture is off, but they do perform as advertised. BTW, immediately replace the included AA batteries in the base with new batteries of your own. You'll need a Phillips-head screwdriver to do this. Just take the bottom off the vase by properly aligning the bottom hatch with two holes, carefully pull the bottom off, and remove one of the retaining clips that holds the LED light module in place so you can then remove the battery cover and replace the AA battery.Hope this review helps.

Box it came in was damaged, product broken at the base, bamboo splinters everywhere. Comes in white, and doesn't even light up very well.Still looks nice. Just not for the price.
