Prestige Adhesive DIY Rubber Weather Seal Excluder - Universal Garage Door Bottom Threshold Seal Strip

I uncurled this and left it for a couple of days before gluing down to a concrete garage floor, so that it was laying flat. It's reasonably easy to cut to length using a Stanley knife. Supplied with just the right amount of glue and is holding it down nicely - it's been down about 6 months so all through the autumn and winter. I cleaned the concrete thoroughly with a wire brush first to get rid of any dirt. So far I've had no leaves, water or indeed mice (backing onto fields we got lots!) getting into the garage. Well with every penny.

It's good quality and keeps the water out. It's quite easy to cut and stick down, just prepare the surface area well, mark out a straight line and don't put the adhesive down to thick or too close to the edge so it doesn't 'ooze' out beyond the edge.

Bought this to stop leaves and rainwater getting into my garage and causing a mess. Easy to lay and works really well. It has stopped all of the water and rubbish blowing under the door.

The seal is easy to cut and trim as needed. We got this to stop water getting in the garage when there was heavy rain. We also occasionally get slugs in the garage despite there only being a few mm gap under the door.For the most part the instal was easy. Made sure the garage floor was as flat as it could be and was dust free. Then, as suggested, sealed the area with diluted PVA glue. Like others have noted the thin edge does have a tendency to curl upwards. Before installing tried many ways to get it to not curl but one area would just not lay flat. Certainly the provided adhesive was sufficient for a standard sized garage door with some left over.Overall, very pleased with it.Update:After 6 months the seal is in place which shows the adhesive works very well. We have just had a storm that meant near constant driving rain for about 48 hours. We had a little bit of water get past the seal but this was just a small damp area rather than a puddle. I suspect that I just need to check the edges and use some more of the adhesive. As the concrete garage floor was less than perfectly flat that was a great result. We used to get slugs squeezing under the garage door and that has stopped.We have an inward opening door at the back of the garage and I used the excess strip to help seal the bottom of that. Not the correct way to use it but it does work as a barrier.Great product, spend a little time prepping the surface you will be attaching to and it will work.

Excellent did the job

Though there were mixed feelings review for this product. My experience was great. I received the full size i ordered, it laid flat immediately after unpacking parcel, though I still laid flat till next day prior to use. The glue was okayquick flowing,easy to apply and overall product provided a good seal to my garage door. A 4* cos delivery took a while.

This strip did exactly what it said it would, robust, easy to fit and cut to the exact size, would definitely recommend as a weather barrier to stop water ingress into any garage. Adhesive was super sticky but spread easily . Great product.

Unlike image shown re installation, the supplied adhesive is CLEAR, not BLACK. No info sheet included regarding how to install. Substantially made door seal but the disappointment for me was the inadequate amount of sealant! I bought the 8' long variant, but it seems regardless of the length bought you just get 1 sealant tube. Consider taking suggested option to buy a 2nd tube- it'll be different colour though! Applying generously as per YOUTUBE videos [just inside the 2 pencil makings you're recommended to make, and then zig zag pattern in-between, I was perturbed that I'd run out of sealant when just half way through:( As it sets VERY RAPIDLY, I had to scrape up some sealant I'd put down and relocate on the other half; not ideal.. Hope it stays stuck- all good so far!
