not fit for purpose (unless you are just hanging a feather)
This is the first review I've ever done for a product even though I buy loads of things on amazon and online. I felt I needed to write this as the product is not fit for purpose. Not sure if i was only sent half of the pole but I'm 5ft 5 inches and they reach just above the knee. also as soon as i put something on the hook the pole bent right over. it seems to be made of some kind of rubber (Gardman having a laugh at our expense maybe). I didn't read the reviews beforehand, as what can you say about shepherds hook stands. its true what they say, you get what you pay for, but i feel I've paid over the odds for a rubbish product. By the way I wouldn't even give this one star, but couldn't submit without giving it a rating.

Too flimsy
Absolutely useless. Too flimsy. I tried stringing a set of 10 fairy lights which cost 99p and both hooks bent towards each other. Ridiculous. I couldn’t get them into flower bed as it says in description so I put them into freshly planted pots. Hooked up string of fairy lights, stood back in amazement. Amazed that anyone could sell such rubbish. There was a breeze today, words cannot describe the spectacle.

RUBBISH
Worst thing I ever bought off amazon not fit even to hang clothes pegs on bought to hang two very light tea lights on much to bendy even putting in soil was a struggle.Should have been made of much more rigid metal.BE WARNED DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Metal is quite flimsy
Product is fairly described, and arrived promptly as expected. But on delivery found two of the hooks have a slight bow on the length of the main stem. Not catastrophic, but on trying to use one of the hooks I found there is a lot of flex in the rod, just hanging a lightweight lantern causes them to lean, similarly a small willow basket, curving the metal rod which then flexes in a slight breeze. I haven't tried a heavier lantern. My view would be that for a 150cm length there is not enough strength in the metal rod. I should probably have got a more expensive thicker version.

Too thin and bendy.Bought a pack of 10 as i wanted some for the garden and some to take camping but when you try and force them into the ground they just bend and even when you do they then bend when something is put on them or when the wind blows.why they just didn't make them a bit thicker and charge more i don't know !

poor quality
This item is very unstable thin metal you could only hang the lightest of items on it i tried to hang a small topiary ball synthetic very light in weight and it just bends over not suitable for purpose stated in description i requested a return which was accepted but at my cost as seller stated it wasn’t faulty and therefore i needed to pay the postage probably costing over £7 to return i am now stuck with an item that’s of no use as the cost of returning the item is to expensive

Does what it says it does on the box
Perfect for hanging lanterns in the garden, came very well packaged and given the recent pandemic I expected delivery to take longer but the seller kept me updated which was great so would highly recommend them

Garden hooks for lanterns or bird feeders.
These are nice hooks. Bought for hanging tea light lanterns in the garden to try and keep the midgies away at night. They're not that sturdy and I'm not sure how long they'll hold up to Scottish weather. Not really expecting them to last long but hopefully they'll survive the summer. They'd definitely not last long if used for hanging bird feeders. I'm guessing the weight of the birds would bend them in no time. Cast iron hooks might be better.
