Very easy to apply, looks great
I don't often do my nails, but when one of my friends mentioned Salon Effects, I just had to give it a try. All I can say is . . . wow. One package has most everything we need. Just follow the instructions: shape nails, clean with nail polish remover (not included), peel and stick, remove excess. They were so easy to apply. I didn't have to wait for them to dry. I've done some pretty rough stuff since putting them on, things regular nail polish would never live through, and my nails still look great.Just one thing, I don't know why they come in packages of sixteen. Who has sixteen fingers? I'd rather it be an even number, like ten or twenty. Now, I have six left over, which I'm told dry out eventually, since the package has been opened. Maybe these extras were meant to be just in case we make a mistake, but that's hard to do.I'm a Salon Effects convert. Will definitely buy more in the future.__________________________UPDATE: It's been ten days. I finally decided to remove them. They are chipped a little but they still look good. The only problem is the nail growth and a little wear near the nail bed. Nail polish took them off easily with a well-soaked cotton ball.I had saved the remaining strips from ten days ago (taped the package up in packing tape) and applied those to my toenails today. I cut them up and was able to use them on all my toenails. They were a little dry and didn't stick as easily, but with warm hands and very warm weather, they did go on.I have discovered that cutting the strips will give me more mileage. My nails are short. 16 strips will cover 32 fingernails. Toenails are even better. I can cover three toenails with one strip.

I am hard on my hands and my nails are in bad shape. I have tried every kind of polish ...
UPDATE: It would help if the manufacturer would include a shelf life DATE on the package. Some of the sellers unload product that has dried out, making it useless. If we had that expiration date the buyers would not get stuck with product that does not stick - like I did with my current purchase!I purchased a variety of different nail wraps available from Amazon. I am hard on my hands and my nails are in bad shape. I have tried every kind of polish product but my nails were still splitting and the polish is always chipped off at the edges within a day. I looked for something fairly quick and easy to apply that would look nice while protecting my nails so they could grow and strengthen.#1 for ease of use, long wearing and looking like real polish: Sally Hansen Salon Effects. Here is how I came to that conclusion.1) Supernail Swiss Silk Wrap Self Adhesive Tabs: not so easy to apply because they do not stay put. It took a lot of time getting them stick to my nails long enough to apply a gel resin over them, as another reviewer had recommended – and it is totally necessary. These are not a finished product so additional polish was required to apply over them. It was a lot of time and effort but they eventually looked OK and protected my nails well for a week. I still had to apply polish over them daily because that chipped off. Removal was easy with an acetone polish remover.2) AUKMIA: too narrow, extremely long and the shape is an odd fit. I did not like the way they looked. They are easy to put on and easy to reposition. They are thick and did not fall apart during application. By the next day the edges were already chipping and one had simply fallen off. By the day after that, all were falling off. For removal, well…they pretty much removed themselves.3) CICI & SISI: very thick and hard to put on without wrinkling. There was a good variety of sizes and many extra ones in the package. They did not stick well and all curled up and peeled off within the first 24 hours.4) Sally Hansen Salon Effects: very thin with the look and feel of real nail polish. They take a light touch to apply (they can tear if tugged on too hard) but they are so easy to smooth out all the way to the edges, and easy to trim to size. These held up better than real nail polish. After an entire week of laundry, gardening, dishes, building (saw, hammer, nails, glue, paint), hours on a computer keyboard, and much more they were showing some wear at the ends of the nails. I could have left them on longer. For removal, I used an acetone polish remover and that took some effort; they really do stay on well.5) Mani Wraps: very thick and hard to put on without wrinkling. These came with detailed instructions including everything you need to prepare your nails (even alcohol wipes) and four more just to practice with. They seemed at first to stick well but all were falling off by the next day.6) Sally Hansen 14 Day Nail Shield: very thin and totally clear. In fact, these are so transparent that all the imperfections I want to hide with polish seemed to be magnified. I tried to apply polish and nail decals over them but nothing seemed to stick to the shiny finish of the wraps. These wraps were badly frayed at the ends within one day. For removal, I used an acetone polish remover and that took some effort to completely remove them.7) Generic Holographic Nail Wraps: I would have rated these but I am still waiting to receive them. I ordered all of these wraps at the same time but these have yet to arrive.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects - Squeezed
These nail polish film applications are very easy to use and look nice when you're done. I recommend that you read the directions and follow those, as they are clear and produce good results, but do NOT look at the pictures that go along with the directions, as they are confusing. Basically, you want to file your nails with the hot pink side of the emery board. Then, use the white (they call it gray) side of the emery board to smooth the ridges from your nail surface. After that swipe your nails with polish remover to make sure they're clean. Find the forms that fit your nail size. I lined up mine on the surface on which I worked, so the next one was ready when I needed it, and I didn't lose track of which one fit which nail. Peel the clear film off the top of the nail polish form. Then, peel off the backing paper from the nail polish form. Now, line the nail polish application up with your nail and, starting at your cuticle, smooth it down. SLIGHTLY stretch it over the tip of your nail, sort of tucking it under a bit, then use the light pink part of the emery board to file off the used portion. I used the orange stick to push back my cuticles during nail prep and to gently smooth the polish down on my nail surface. If your nails are short enough, you could use one form to do both of the same finger on your two hands (i.e. one form for both index fingernails, one form for both thumbnails, and so forth). I also suggest using a pair of cuticle scissors to cut the forms to fit, if you need to. Be certain to do that, BEFORE peeling off the clear cover or the backing.

Mixed Feelings About These Strips
I love the design/ color of these strips. It was my first time using Sally Hansen. I usually use Color Street but decided to give these a try. As mentioned elsewhere, they were poor quality or old. They stuck to both the plastic and the paper. Not only that, they stuck to my fingers as I was applying them and needed to be scraped off with a nail file. Once I got them applied, I felt fairly certain that they would come off easily and offered no protection to my real nails. So I put a second strip of Color street Candied Lavender over them and a layer of thick top coat. I think they turned out pretty fun & different. But it was a lot of work!

SO EASY TO USE, LOOK GREAT TOO!!
I love these nail strips, it was my first time using them and I decided to watch a couple of tutorials onYoutube to see how to apply them. I must admit they were idiot-proof to apply, very simple, and soeffective. I shall most certainly be buying more as there are so many designs to choose from.I felt quite happy with myself for managing to apply them, but as I said they are really simple todo. I cannot comment on the durability yet because I only applied them yesterday but they seem tobe pretty robust, time will tell of course. They were despatched quickly from seller too which is alwaysa bonus!!!.

Great product!
I was originally sceptical about this product as I had used something similar years ago with mediocre results - but this product worked fantastic! It was very easy to apply and mine lasted 10 days easily. I did baby them for the first few days but after that I just carried on as normal and had great results for over a week and a half! They were actually difficult to remove with nail varnish - I actually found it easier to pick them off rather than to remove them with the polish remover. Overall the result was perfect and I love them! They were slightly expensive, considering that you can only do your nails one time per pack but I do feel they last longer than a manicure at the salon!

LOVE THESE!!!!
Fed up of the mess that Gel Overlays made of my nails and being completely incompetent in the polish application department I decided to try these strips. AMAZING!Love the variety of styles to pick from and they are quick and easy to apply. I use with a top coat to prolong the life of my manicure.Expensive but with care they can last up to a week or more which makes them cheaper than a normal polish manicure.
