My son prefers over leather, stay on his feet and hold up well
My son is 9 and hopes to be a professional classical ballet dancer. He currently dances about 14 hours a week except for summer intensive, which was 30 hours a week (for four weeks). Of that, about 3-4 hours a week is in other shoes or barefoot, most of the time he is wearing ballet shoes. He has two pairs of shoes he alternates between and the photos show the more worn pair after about six months when I noticed the condition and replaced them (this 6 months includes summer intensive). What we like about them:My son says they are more comfortable and stay on his feet better. They last a really long time. He's dancing more than he did when he was wearing leather shoes and they are lasting much longer, I'd say about three times as long. They are inexpensive so he always carries an extra pair just in case. He's never had these malfunction but he had a couple shoe crises in previous brands and it gives him peace of mind to have extras just in case. What we don't like about them:They don't have as nice a line. He's a boy so he's usually wearing black shoes and black tights on a black floor so no one will notice but if you're really looking for a nice line, you'll want to check if this gives you what you're looking for before counting on it. It took a few classes for my son's teachers to realize his feet were just as beautiful as ever, he was just wearing different shoes. There's a little bit of white writing on the black shoes that we scribbled over with sharpie. No big deal unless you don't have a black sharpie or forget to scribble them out ahead of time.

Fit, Works Well
They're not professional, I don't think (I'm not a professional), and they're a little baggy and look more like strapped-on socks than anything. There's no toe box. BUT - if you're just starting out and need something inexpensive and soft, these are cute and nice to wear.

Tight, but solid shoes
I'm a solid size 10 with slightly narrow feet. These are tight, especially the elastics. Never to the point where they're causing discomfort, but I also haven't ever worn them for more than about 45 minutes straight. The split sole is fantastic for control and flexibility. It seems like sturdy construction and is holding up great in classes and rehearsals. They're definitely canvas so they're breathable and flexible. They don't get dirty very easily, either.

True to size
This shoe is true to size. Fits my daughter perfect who wears a size 8 in women's. Would definitely recommend

Good shoes, but measure before purchasing!
Very good shoes, but I should have measured my daughter's feet before I ordered them, because I wanted to surprise her for Christmas. I just ordered her shoe size (adult size 8, so I ordered 8.5s), and they were HUGE on her. I should have measured her foot and ordered a size 3. I've gotten her a new pair, and I guess I'll donate the shoes to her ballet school's box for girls who've forgotten their shoes. Maybe I'll put a note on them that, if these monsters actually fit you, you can have them.

I ordered a 5 D and the bag said 5D but the bottom of the shoe says 6D.
I ordered a 5 D and the bag said 5D but the bottom of the shoe says 6D. They are a bit large but we have a show next week, so I don't dare return them. That said, if they were a size smaller I'm thinking they would be great!

Perfect for little
Perfect price and quality for my 2 year old starting ballet who will probably need 2-3 pairs this year. They are a cloth material, like the feel of canvas. I love how they don’t have the tie on top like some of the little girls ballet shoes that need to be tied every 5 minutes. Good padding at the bottom.

Really like these
I didn't expect much from these for the price but I ended up really liking them.I am a size 7 street shoe (adult) and ordered a size 7.5 and they fit perfect.I am not a dancer, but I needed an inexpensive soft ballet shoe to do ballet-style workouts at home (I use them mostly for the Ballet Beautiful DVDs). Because I'm not a dancer and won't be wearing them much, I didn't need a fancy or expensive shoe. I just found that I needed something for my ballet inspired workouts as doing them barefoot was too cold and I needed a little something to make doing workouts on a floor more comfortable and these definitely do the job, especially for the price. I like that I didn't have to sew the elastics in as with other shoes and that there was no complicated sizing. These arrived in two days which was also nice. These are just what I needed for my workouts.
