Q: is there a difference between this black can and the white clear can?

It's the same product. Redken has redesigned all of their products and most will have a black background with white letters. of course, when you order on Amazon, they might show black and might you get the older white container... Anyway, great product. Great on curly hair and let air dry or slow dry .

Q: Does this product have a feminine smell?

No. And both my husband and I are very sensitive to fragrances, and I really don't even notice a smell to this. If it is, it is NOT feminine or perfumey at all.

Q: Will it weight down or straighten my curly/wavy hair?

No it won't straighten your hair nor will it weigh it down. it helps me with my frizz. I love it. gives my hair a shine also

Q: How does Outshine 01 compare to Glass 01?

I liked the glass product better but it's no longer offered, so the next best thing is the outshine. Just follow the directions and use on wet hair is best.
