Great shackle
Having spent a youth in the maritime arts, I look for reliable shackle screws that won't easily back out and these seem to meet that goal. Otherwise a nice solid shackle.

At local hardware stores there were "marine shackles" at more than twice this price.The marine shackles labeled to be the same size as these compared below :These shackles have a slightly larger pin.These shackles have a slightly lesser quality polish.For my intended use these shackles were a great buy.

I needed a stronger clevis to put through the eye ...
I needed a stronger clevis to put through the eye of on my boat where the winch hooks up. The hook won't fit through the eye so I had to put a clevis through the eye. The one I bought is stainless steel and seems to be of high quality.
