Wears out quickly and stops working!
This is a good leash to prevent pulling but the problem is that it wears out real quick (2-4 weeks) and becomes ineffective. So what do i mean by this ...ill try and explain. The part where you adjust the tightness of the leash is the problem. In the beginning when you tighten the leash the leash will stay that way throughout the whole walk until you decide to loosen it up or take it off. However with time that part becomes loose so that when you tighten the leash it loosens up on its own throughout the walk allowing your dog to pull. The only way the dog will not be able to pull is if the leash is tight and as soon as the leash gets loose your dog will start pulling.I purchased two of these and both of them started having the same issue about 2-4 weeks later. So if you decide to buy this expect it to work for about a month....i am guessing many of the positive reviews were left right after they purcashed it and never bothered to come back and update their review. If you are wondering i have long hair German shepherd.

I have no words
But I will find some to review this product. My dog... my sweet, sweet boy... is a disaster on a leash. He's not mean - he's excited. He's 50lbs of all the strength and speed that a shepherd mix can bring and he can go for miles. I have tried every gimmick leash and product on the market: bungee leash, spike collar (I regret this decision), gentle leader (he hated it and scraped up his face on the sidewalk trying to get it off), the harness (both front and back connection) and just plain not walking him because it was no fun. Avoiding walks was particularly no fun for my shepherd boy because he has a lot of energy to expend and I live on a postage stamp. I tried refusing to walk until he stopped pulling and he just thought that was the most fun game ever. The harness with the front connector worked pretty well - I won't lie about that. But I got this leash one day after trying that and I have to say... holy balls. I don't love keeping it high on his neck and almost feel bad (not spiked collar bad), but the kid can't pull anymore - nor does he seem to want to. I've only walked him twice with it, so I guess time will tell if he adjusts, but for now... I'm amazed. Six years with this guy and all it took was a regular leash with a loop. Talk about overthinking a problem for too long.

Best lead for walking my Dane!
Best lead ever!!!!I adopted a Great Dane last year from a family that had no time for her. When I got her I could tell she never went on regular walks (it took her months to learn how to potty on a walk!) and she was dog aggressive and had no leash manners!I'm a 5'2 little woman and tried every damn thing to walk her. She was too sensitive to use a prong, the head halti SUCKED and I felt it was not for a dog that's dog aggressive on walks, I even tried this no pull harness contraption that just enabled her to pull even more!So I ordered this since it can be placed high on the neck/behind the ears and finally I have better control without feeling like I'm battling a bucking bronco! We have successfully passed by the fence barking dogs in the neighborhood without me looking like an idiot or my Dane getting out of control and lunging! That is a major accomplishment in our book! The lead is really soft and nice on the hands. I wish the lead came in at least 8ft or more though!

Great lead even for small dogs
These leads are amazing. I've tried walking my two dachshunds (one is 6.5 lbs, the other 13) using both harness and collars and your typical leash that attaches and they do OK on the walk. Even though I used to keep the leash short and tried to make them heel, it was always very hard because my dogs just love sticking their little noses every which way, so even though I had a semblance of control, I knew the dogs were never really "doing the walk" properly.Since my dogs are already leash trained I just decided to slip it on during one of our walks and try it out. There was an IMMEDIATE change in their behavior! First of all, not only did the dogs pull WAY less than usual (in the sense that they didn't drift off to the sides to try and sniff everything around them), but I noticed that the dogs were walking with their heads up! I always assumed they walked with their heads down towards the ground because they were sniffing all the deliciousness on the ground (and because, well, they have the shortest legs ever), so it was quite surprising to notice them walk confidently with their heads up.I was a little worried that, because my dogs are tiny, the leads would slip off or not be able to get tight around their necks. But the leads stayed on quite securely and were definitely able to wrap snuggly around my tiny dog's head (even when I positioned it at the top of their necks for more control). It also didn't seem to bother or hurt my dogs when they do get excited and try to lunge (I've gotten advice from some that small dogs shouldn't have regular leashes because if they pull too hard it could damage their neck), but again, my dogs are used to being walked and are decent at obeying commands. The lead itself is a soft, rope-like material that's comfortable to hold and is probably comfortable for the dogs, too. I got the 4 ft size, and it was just the perfect length so that I didn't really have to hold too much extra "slack" that the longer leashes create. The 4-ft definitely doesn't give them much space to explore though when you do decide to let them sniff around.Overall this is a fantastic product. I'd recommend for anybody--even if your dog isn't wildly out of control on walks-- and especially if you've never used a lead and are used to the regular old leashes! It'll change your whole walk experience!

Good for my nervous rescue dog
Bought this for my nervy rescue dog who was wary of people, loud noises, vehicles, etc, while out on walks. Previously he’s nearly managed to slip his collar and any sort of walking equipment I’ve tried him on (e.g harness, Halti headcollar, etc), but he hasn’t been able to with the slip lead. The lead is a good length and feels nice to use, and has held really well over the two years I’ve had it. Its even held well against snags, and bits of it that have been pulled loose eventually go back into place with a bit of tension and use of the lead. After using it for a year and a half and with positive training, he’s much more confident on walks and hasn’t tried to slip the lead, so we’re finally walking on a clip lead again and the slip lead sits in the back of my car as a just-in-case.

Best slip lead I’ve found!
I have had several different slip leads for my 8mnth Springer pup and found them all to be rather abrasive on her neck (&nose when using as a fig8 for pulling) but this one is fabulous! It’s well made, soft to the touch and doesn’t have that nasty abrasive quality that the previous ones I tried did! Very good value for money! Liked it so much I’ve got it in 2 sizes - one shorter one for road walking and a longer one for park trips! 5star product!

Great dog lead
Perfect dog lead for a dog that doesn't wear a collar. Is quite short (bought the shorter option) but as my dog only goes on the lead on the roadside this is perfect. Been using a lot for 6 months and no signs of wear.Bought a second as a spare for when its wet and muddy!

More control over a reactive dog. No slack. Stiff cinch.
+ Gives more control. Good for walks where you know there's a high probability of encountering other dogs.+ You don't need to hold slack in your other hand.+ The leather cinch seems to be good quality. I've only had it a short while but it's plenty stiff and better quality than the rubber one I had previously.
