Muzzy to Rage, never going back!
This thing is top-notch. Flew exactly like my field tips on 350 hunter x goldentip. Awesome product, opens every time flawlessly. Definitely worth the money. If you don’t make the perfect shot this thing will be the reason you find your deer. Lethal, huge hole, flys perfectly.

Best broached out there!!!
Very durable, sharp thick blades, flies straight and true and the wound channel is impressive. The blood trail Stevie Wonder could follow.

Just go fixed
I’ve lost 2 of my biggest deer using rage. I’m to blame too but, penetration is not there. Hit my target buck in the shoulder at 20 yards and I maybe got two inches of penetration. Switched over to a fixed and blew through a does shoulder.

devastating hole
Great broadhead.... flew like a field point with a devastating hole. Watched a 146" Wisconsin whitetail go 50 yards before falling over. I love the no collar advantage.

DNF = Dead Not Far
I harvested a deformed basket rack 5 point management buck opening day a few weeks back. He was eating corn at 17 yards, exposing a perfect broadside shot. I let it rip & it ended up being a textbook shot placement after we recovered him. Entry wound was massive, every bit of 2.3”! I harvested him using the 2021 Mathews v3 27” set at 60# & using the Garmin ranging optic. It sliced the ribs clean in half going in like a laser had cut them exposing a hole that looked as if he was just straight stabbed with a machete. All of that and He still managed to bolt across three large open fields adjacent to my field, he was jumping fences with my nockturnal green led nock glowing & bouncing the entire way. Mind you this is 15 minutes after legal shooting time that morning so at long distance it’s still very dark. I couldn’t totally see everything that far away yet but I saw my nock finally stop moving sticking up so I thought he finally fell with the arrow facing up. Once I moved in closer I realized that the arrow dropped out, landing in the ground 5’ before he finally fell laying wound up where he expired. Not that I needed it this hunt but he left an easily trackable blood trail with every step he took. During cleaning I closely inspected the entry wound and the exit attempt & although I’m happy I got the harvest It left me with a few questions. Yes, the entry wound was massive, it definitely devastated every internal organ inside but he still ran a good 100 yards before he expired. Maybe it’s my inexperience with bow hunting but I figured using top shelf equipment all the way around he would’ve expired way sooner with a shot that perfect and close. I wasn’t too impressed during cleaning when I inspected the opposite side ribs. The arrow obviously spun another turn and had clear cuts from the blades on the inside of ribs where it appears the razors just didn’t have enough umph to push through the opposite side ribs. In my mind I was totally expecting a through & through all day without question, especially using all top of the line equipment, furthermore, he was only 17yards away. I figured it would’ve sliced through the opposite side ribs without hesitation. Maybe 2.3” is just stretching the limits. It was mind blowing sitting in the stand in damn near darkness watching that led nock on that arrow tell me exactly where to start my tracking. Again, I think the broadhead did it’s job, It could be the Bows issue. In my mind I was expecting a through & through shot at that distance without a question. Just seeing the slices on the inside of the opposite inside of his ribs was like huh? I got well over $2500 in my setup and didn’t ever think ribs would be a problem for my bows power. Shoulder, yeah, but ribs… It did have deep cuts in the ribs but Im not completely sold yet. I hunt in swamp that’s high hills and deep wet valleys. Dragging a deer 100yards out that hill filled swamp is not the same in any way as dragging that same deer through a manicured flat field. I need DRT or as close to that as possible. After eight failed back surgeries which included a spinal cord hit during the 4th I enjoy the hunt itself but Im always thinking about what will happen after the kill. I had plan A & B but this deer took off with his own plans as they always do. I watch all of the hunting shows, realistically he went about the same distance as the pros harvests on occasion so I guess I just had higher expectations than my combination could provide.
