Best to mount them on a stud. I have 8.5 lb speakers and they hold them up fine, but they will sag a bit. Using them for rear height speakers for Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D set-up.

Solid metal frame, easy too attach to the speakers. While installing a speaker in the heavier end of the weight limit you will need to crank the Alan key quite hard, so I recommend installing in a stud as the amount of pressure required to tighten this mount so that the speaker doesn’t sag may actually be too much for the drywall itself.

Nice quality mount. Used them to hang my rear surround Polk s10's. Threads matched perfect to those on the speaker. Solid metal units support the 7lb speakers well.

They have worked fine. One issue is the brackets have the speakers away from the wall more than I would of preferred. It's tough to hide the speaker wire from different angles with the speakers (Pro Monitor 10000) that I have.

Very well built and perfect for my light Polk OWM3s! Little pricy but I know they won’t be dropping my speakers anytime soon.
