This kit contains all the basics of boba-making. Three types of tea, the boba pearls, instructions for each type + others - and even the big boba straws! - all really nicely gift package if giving as a gift. I bought this for my teenage daughter who loves boba tea. We made some together last night - it was quite a process but turned out really good. The regular recipe wants you to use the whole bag of tea to make 4-7 boba teas. We ended up splitting the recipe in half since only 2 of us in the house like this drink. That was the perfect amount for 2 large boba teas. The boba pearl recipe wants you to make the whole bag at once - but these will go bad if you don't use them up in a day or two, so we opted to split the bag into 6ths (by weight measurement) and only cook what we need each time so we wouldn't have to worry about the pearls going bad. Yes - its a pain to make them each time but only takes about 35 min so as long as you plan on it, it's fine.Overall I think this kit did a great job of supplying you with quality ingredients and also teaching you how to properly make boba tea (we tried a powdered milk tea mix once and it was horrible). I'd love to buy these boba pearls and teas in bulk separately from the kit. The pearls are different than others we've tried - a little sweet smelling like they were soaked in something before being dried out. The jasmine tea was really great quality - haven't tried the others yet but happy about the quality of this kit. Great family and friend activity!

I really enjoy this kit! The teas have a good flavor and the recipes are pretty simple to follow. The only down sides are that I had to do some conversions to do a single serving of boba since the recipes call for 4-6 serving. Also, the boba takes alot of time to cook. It's also pretty customizable.

I love the peach oolong tea. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. Read how to make the pearls all the way through. You don't have to cook the whole package at once. I used brown sugar for the syrup.

Purchased for my daughter who asks for Boba almost daily! She absolutely loves making it at home. It’s a great way to save money on a drink you love. It comes in a compact box which is great for gift giving. Not complicated at all to make!

Great flavor and very clear instructions. Lots of fun! Maybe expensive for what you actually get, BUT it comes with everything you need and instructions to make it easy, so worth it for the convenience. I will absolutely order more teas, bobas, and supplies from this company!

I had no idea the prep and time that would be involved in this little kit. It's not as big as I expected the box to be. So the tea pouches are pretty small. They look like they make a lot of tea, but the tapioca pearls are all packed in one sealed bag so you have to make it all at once or within a few days so they do not go bad. I have no idea why I would want to make it all at one time! Having never made bubble tea before, this is NOT a gift for beginners. It's intimidating to read the multi-step directions. The directions include making your own simple syrup, re-hydrating the pearls and steeping the tea. It's a process! I bought this as a gift for my teenager and she didn't want to take all the time to go through with it so it's still sitting in the box from the holidays. I'm pretty disappointed. I have no idea what it tastes like because we want to wait and use it when we have enough people over ready to drink a bunch. we don't want to waste it or have it spoil.

I was so excited to see a DIY Bubble tea. Packaging was nice. Went to make the drink, but the tapioca pearls are brown, hard and started to disintegrate in my hands. Added to the drink, they lumped together. it was terrible. The whole reason for bubble tea is to enjoy the soft, yummy tapioca tea. otherwise it is just tea with milk. Tried to return a few days after i received it. Buyer does not allow returns. Contacted Amazon, in their normal Amazon way, they stand by what they sell and they refunded me right away and i don't even have to return it. it is a shame that they have to take the hit, because the seller can't include good products. Thank you Amazon.

I got this as a gift for my friend who loves boba and she loved all the flavors! Onlyproblem is to cook the boba it takes a long time. I work in a boba shop and we cook bags triple the size you get for the same amount of time. She had a boba kit that required about half the time to cook it so she was definitely shocked when she read you have to cook it for about 40 min. If you have patience then you will enjoy it LOL
