Economy version, does the job.
After years of cling film covered tattoos, I decided to try tattoo film. Game changer. No more new tattoos leaking onto clothes, sticking to bedding, fluff getting stuck on it between cleanings etc.I bought this after id finished the more expensive roll of another brand. This was a third the price and provided more product. This brand does the job. It covers the tattoo, it provides a barrier, easy to put on and if placed properly it doesn't leak. If you're only using it for the first 12-24 hours it'll be fine, but it took the top layer of skin off from around my tattoo when I tried to remove it. I even tried to soak it off in the shower. It didn't damage the tattoo though. It is shiny, feels plasticky and very obvious you've got it on. The overall experience isn't a patch on the expensive version, which you forget you've got on, it's so good. But it does the job if you are on a budget.

Great waterproof dressing product that is not just for tattoo usage !
It comes in a roll that can be cut to the desired size and this minimises waste. I apply it over dressings and this allows showering or hand washing as the wound heals and has the added benefit of keeping the dressing in place. It will stick to itself and can overlap itself. This is useful for wounds on the palm of the hand for example. It is also very useful as a preventative treatment (pre-blisters) to keep the skin intact and prevent friction injuries such as on the heel of ones foot . Other uses include applying on top of an emollient on small burns, for example, where it is then see through. The only guide to use is that a reasonable amount of the transparent film needs to overlap the dressing/wound on all side. From experience I have discovered that should I cut the film too short I can supplement with additional strips and likewise as the edged lift I re-apply with additional strips.

Bargain protective film for tattoos
Having used much more expensive brands of this film I was sceptical but its great! Brilliant for protecting a new tattoo for the first few days of healing & still let's the skin breathe. Its also really good to do intensive moisture treatments on elbows or knees, blobbing mousturiser on then using some film to trap the cream there until its fully absorbed. Will buy again

Ok but not as good as more expensive versions
I'd previously used a much more expensive brand to go over my HRT patches, and decided to try this instead to save some pennies. If I'd not used the more expensive brand first I'd probably be ok with this one, but in comparison I can see why it's cheaper. It's harder to apply properly, it's thicker. The feeling on the skin is more obvious and just not very nice. It also didn't last the full 3 days as well without starting to peel up at the edges.Fine product and does what it says, but a bit of a false economy for me so I've ended up going back to the more expensive brand, since I need to use it every day for the use next 30 years!!

Would not waste my money again.
I have always been advised by others in the tattoo industry to use after getting new tattoo, but i would not recommend it at all.The Adhesive is way too sticky and when trying to remove it it pulls the fresh tattoo skin and could break the skin.Awful stuff to use and ive been a tattoo artist for over 15years. Sometimes you just cant beat good old cling film to protect your new tattoo

Excellent for tattoos
Perfect for tattoos, especially ones in awkward places like the head or hands which are hard to keep creamed etc. I'm allergic to alot of things including standard clear plasters but no irritation with this.

Left infection and ruined my tattoo
Horrible product - had a terrible reaction and the adhesive was soooo sticky it was extremely hard to try and get off. Left so much residue and red bumps around my tattoo. It’s infected parts of it and unfortunately ruined some of my artist work... so sad :( I don’t suggest this product to anyone
