Tandy Leather Heavyweight Natural Cowhide Leather Strip 1-1/4" (32 mm) x 72" (1.8 m) 4530-00

It's not really what I thought I was getting. The strip is 1-3/16", not 1.25 as advertised. And that can make a big difference in some craft work. At least, it makes a difference in mine. It also tells you that the mfg is more interested in "shaving" the quality than in providing a good product.On the other hand, the basic leather's not bad. I can turn it into something other than what I had planned, so it's not a total loss. I think maybe after spending a lifetime getting shafted by Tandy products from one division after another, I'm just tired of the whole thing.

Only someone who doesn't understand what a Cowhide Leather Strip is would be unsatisfied with this item. Tandy is Leather is my go to source for all things leather and these straps are perfect for belts and holsters. These are roughly 8-9 oz and are veg tanned.

I thought this was a belt blank. Nope! Just a sinking strip of leather! Now I have to buy yet more stuf to turn it into the belt my son needs! Not happy.

I am happy with the quality. It's 1 strap, sturdy and the color just as you would imagine.

Received and noticed the rough area on the strip of 1.25" leather. I will see what I can do with it, I needed the entire length of the strip for my project. Was a little disappointed about it, our local Tandy store was out of this size and I could not wait for a restock. I have never seen anything like this at the Tandy store, I guess this what you get when you buy online.
