Can’t see why these cost so much, camera isn’t that good particularly the rear at night.Not very straight forward to activate SIM card. Odd designs, the leads to wire up only one end is elbow plug other end is straight, both should be elbow so lead points up to go in headlining. Front camera has white light on the front, so others can see it’s on! But they did same with rear cam light, except this only visible inside, surely that should be visible outside also! Build feels quite cheaply made, very light, rear cam also very light an tiny. Worth £430 with no screen, no it’s not…

Be aware that not all the features listed in the ad for this camera are available without taking out a monthly subscription with Blackvue on top of your monthly sim cost. Limited to ten minutes live view a day and 100 videos a month, Also there is no live tracking unless you pay a further £10 a month subscription. Another thing to note is the 32gb model is £399 and the 256gb is £769, That’s an extra £369 for a £35 SD card which is crazy. The 32gb model works fine with a 256gb class 10 card installed.

Update 01 Sept 2021. The first one of these that I had only lasted 1 day and failed. This one replaced it and lasted just over 2 years. Little known fact is that Amazon completely ignore UK Consumer Rights Law so they will not help and there is nothing that you can do about it. Believe me I have tried! Blackvue offer a repair service for a reasonable £49 BUT it takes 2 months (YES 2 MONTHS) to send it to Korea for repair and get it back. As much good as a chocolate tea pot. So I am going to replace it with some cheap crap unit from AliExpress £15 which when it fails I can just toss it in the bin and get another one. It won't have all the options that the Blackvue has but at least I can save £18 per month cloud and SIM prices. I feel completely let down by Amazon and Blackvue who should offer an exchange service to take the 2 month lag out of the loop. It should not have gone wrong with a camera fault anyway in just 2 years.

Easy set up. Quality item.

Firstly, it is a lot bigger than it looks in pictures !!I bought the camera and the magic pro hardwire kit as the parking mode was important to me.The camera is okay in normal driving mode, nothing special and no better than many that are a fraction of the price. The cloud connection is unreliable either on wifi or LTE and the sensitivity is way too high, even on the lowest setting a roundabout records as a sharp cornering event and a speed bump as an impact !My biggest problem with the camera is that the parking mode drains so much power from the car battery that the magic pro cuts it off in around an hour after parking. Even with all the parking mode sensitivities on minimum I am lucky if it stays on for an hour and a half.This is useless to me and if it wasn't already all wired into the car I would return it for a refund. The only option appears to be adding their extremely expensive battery packs but I have little faith they will help much after reading other reviews.***I have now bought the Ultra Battery at a further £329 to try and make the parking mode last longer.The system has now become massively expensive and doesnt do anything more than many cheaper options.***Update September 2023***The additional battery worked well but now, just under two years of age, the camera has packed up.A very expensive piece of junk !!

Buy new do not buy a refurbished ,too many issues with bits that don't work with each other (sd cards are kinda paired WiFi issues with refurbished) if you buy new you will be fine, quality is outstanding but software needs a full update was not easy to use I returned mine because of above and reflect my personal experience
