Really comfortable, lightweight waterproof boots
Bought these for a trip to Iceland after trying more boots than I care to remember. I wear a size 12 shoe and thought I'd go a size larger to allow for thick walking socks. I tried numerous boots in a size 13 and one size 14 - all of them were too small, even when wearing regular socks. After reading the reviews on Merrell Moab 2 I thought I'd give them a try via Amazons try before you buy. They are a perfect fit and really comfortable. I can't believe how lightweight they are for such a sturdy boot. I walked around 30 miles in them in Iceland in rain, ice and snow and my feet were warm, dry and comfortable. I highly recommend them.

Great walking boots.
Good fit and very light but also seem sturdy, very comfortable on long walks, haven’t worn them in wet conditions yet but very pleased so far.

Decent enough to wear to the pub in the snow.
OK boots, they're on the 'comfy' side of things rather than the solid boots go anywhere. Decent enough to wear to the pub in the snow.

Good for female with wide feet - lasted for miles
I like Merrels and usually buy the ladies but my feet are wide so I bought the mens this time after trying on my partner's and they are much better for a wide foot. I'd been wearing leather walking boots but found my feet were still cold hours after arriving home. The Merrels are good for keeping your feet warmer and I went straight out on a 4 mile walk in the mud and rain and I was dry. The only small problem is they make a Slip-slop sound as you walk, a bit like a flip flop! I usually wear a 6.5 but purchased a 7 and these are fine although there is no room for a thicker sock. I have MS (so one leg drags a bit) so I do find that it has taken a bit of getting used to as I have to lift my feet higher to walk in them than my usual boots but the thick sole is very grippy in the mud.Update : The photo shows the boots after 16 months of hard wear. They have done over 30 miles walking a week, every week since I bought them! Although the bottoms are now smooth and they are leaking at the side I can still walk 7 miles in them and they feel like a second skin. A new pair arrived today,

Comfy and waterproof
Nice boots. Fit well. Very nice walking on grass uneven areas etc as that’s what they are designed for but not so good on street concrete pavements if you have to walk to your destination.

Excellent for hiking
Bought these to hike the Camino. Have been walking some trial distances and they're super comfy from the off, and bed in really effectively. They've been through snow, rain, mud, rain, more mud, torrential rain and haven't leaked. So far they've done 12 mile distances, and remain comfortable, with no hotspots. Wearing the two sock method keeps the foot comfy! Overall, very happy with them.Recommended.

Great pair of hiking boots
First of all I’d like to state that I look in depth when shopping for expensive items. My shoe size is UK10, but when wearing boots I take a UK11.These boots cover my ankles which gives added support where needed. I bought these specifically for walking and mainly Metal Detecting. When spending 6-7 hours on my feet I thought it was important to find a pair of hiking boots that give the support under my feet. So many cheaper boots I bought seem to ok, but they leave my feet painful and aching.I already have a pair of Merrill training shoes, and Merrill Sandle’s, so when I looked at all the different boots I came to the decision that buying Merrill Hiking boots was a no brainier, even though very expensive.I’ve previously bought boots from the following shops, TKMaxx, The Factory Shop, and the camping shop. each of those boots lasted about 6-8 months before I had to throw them away because they wore away, tore at the sides of the boots.I would suggest that you don’t buy cheap because they don’t last. I would recommend these hiking boots.

Really comfortable shoe
I have tried other hiking boots/shoes and I am always happy with Merrell. I buy others for price benefits, but you get what you pay for. These shoes feel great immediately; as if they were specifically made for me.I have a wider foot and flat footed as well. While the support with the shoe would most likely be sufficient for my flat feet, I still buy my own insoles. Habit. Foot comfort is key regardless the task.I walk 2-4 miles a day with my dog. I can wear boots out quickly. These Merrells hold their own, though. I can almost get a year out of a pair. The shoe itself is still in great shape usually, but the soles wear according to my gait and that is the reason for getting a new pair.I like the above ankle shoe/boot. It offers enough ankle support still without being a boot. It has great traction. Difficult to walk in new ones due to such great traction and width of sole, but that’s probably because I get used to walking in my worn out ones.🤷🏻♂️Warm enough for Michigan Winters. The waterproofing is great, too. Spring in Michigan can be extremely wet. 2-4 miles walking in wet grass or puddles, it is nice to have dry feet at the end (well, during as well).I think I may be finished shopping around. I’ve had Raichle, Red Wing, Keen, Field and Stream, and Salomon to name a few. All of those were good as well, but either discontinued a style or changed manufacturing which changed the product. I’ll just stick with these Merrells as long as they maintain their quality. You may benefit from doing what I’m doing and just sticking with what works (for me), which is Merrell.

Very comfortable boot
I picked these up for a last minute December trip northward. They fit perfectly out of the box and were comfortable without any need for break-in walking around. I wore them for 5 straight days in low teens temperatures. Never had any issues, my feet were very comfortable and never got cold.

Mother of All Boots. Stands up to the title.
Best hiking boot I have ever had. Great support, and after a year of hammering they have stood up perfectly. Cannot recommend these highly enough.
