The collar fit perfectly and let me just say I had to get assistance putting it on. It’s not easy attaching the collar to the clergy shirt at least it wasn’t for me. I’d recommend purchasing, just get help in advance to get everything in place.

MERCY ROBES SOFT CLERGY COLLAR #2 (1.25 INCH)The Mercy Robes soft bishop clergy collar #2 is a double ply, highly flexible, soft, polyethylene (yes, you can tie it in a knot), molded to resemble fabric. Importantly, the interior of the collar has 34 2mm holes across the front and sides for ventilation. While sized by the half-inch, it can be worn with shirts/blouses that have neck measurements 1/2 inch smaller or larger than the collar's designated size. This allows for some wiggle room in matching shirt collar size to clerical collar size as shirts/blouses purchased to accommodate one's largest proportion may not fit well in the neck. It can be washed with soap and water; in the event of heavy sweat staining it can be cleaned with an abrasive cleanser, like Comet, and a pot scrubber sponge.The flexibility of this collar makes it extremely comfortable, and the ventilation holes make it suitable even for tropical climates. I suspect Mercy Robes imports this collar from the same Italian firm that supplies CM Almy with their Clericool collars as it is virtually identical to the Almy Clericool II - from the impressions of linen fabric and bottom stitching on the exterior to the number and placement of ventilation holes on the inside. It costs about twice what Almy lists, but is available in single collar orders instead of a minimum order of 4. Additionally, each collar includes 2 simple gold tone (possibly plate, but who sees them anyway?) collar buttons.These collars don't last forever - eventually they become stained enough to need replacement (3-4 years, in the tropics), and rough handling can tear through the back button holes. That being said, they are the go-to design for many clergy, and I will order again from Mercy Robes.
