The #1 Album: Super 70s Pop

Another reviewer has posted track timings in their review of this cd set. However, it would have been more helpful if they had included the actual timings from this release. It appears they have used the timings for the original 7” singles, as listed on Discogs. This is important if you’re considering buying this album based on those timings which may lead you to believe that you’re getting the original 7” versions of all tracks. Here are the key errors:The version of Billy, Don’t Be A Hero is the 3:45 re-recording, with a different female vocal, rather than the rarely compiled 3:55 original 7”. If you’re searching for that original version, it’s available on the Virgin/EMI 2003 compilation, The Return Of Super 70’s.Grandma’s Party is not the 3:00 7” version with the bells/Auld Lang Syne intro that has yet to appear on cd but the 2:38 edit that omits this intro.Deodato’s Also Sprach Zarathustra is not the 5:04 7” edit, as specified in the other review, but the longer 6:06 edit that appears on many other compilations.

I bought this cd because there were two songs that I was after and couldn't find them on other 70's cds. They are both on this cd and purchased it right away. It arrived promptly and I would order from the company again
