Improves grip and is very convenient
This is a great little gym accessory. Just sqeeze out a small amount of the liquid and spread it around your hands. When it dries, it leaves a chalky residue that lasts throughout your whole workout. It has greatly improved my grip, which was a limiting factor on deadlift. I haven't used real chalk so I can't compare it to that, but if you are not allowed to bring chalk into your gym, this stuff works great. The only con I have is the smell; it has a faint coconut-purfume smell. It's not that annoying, just not ideal. When I'm close to running out, I'll try another chalk product for comparison unless join a different gym that doesn't allow chalk. If my new gym doesn't allow chalk, I'll most likely buy the 8oz version of this product for refilling the 1.5oz bottle.

Sweaty hands at the gym? Not any more
I have suffered from sweaty hands forever. Most gyms aren't really fond of chalk, so regular chalk wouldn't work. But, this stuff works even better! Rub it on the areas you would usually chalk up and let it dry. Once the alcohol in it evaporates it leaves the chalk behind, and it doesn't come. Off anywhere as easily as regular gym chalk. And it smells good! I do still reapply slightly depending on my activity.Pros:-great for power lifting and rock climbing-much cleaner then chalk-more effective on the sweatiest of hands-smells good!Cons:-watch out if you have a cut on your hand..Verdict: The only reason I will use regular gym chalk again is if I dont have my liquid chalk.I purchased this product with my own money at full price, I have no affiliation with the company in anyway.

Product Review of LIQUID GRIP 1.5oz
I enjoy lifting weights but often have problems with my hands becoming too sweaty, thus reducing my grip strength. I purchased Liquid Grip to combat this problem and have had only a positive experience with it.Who is this product most suitable for?Liquid Grip is an ideal product for weight lifter who wants to improve his or her grip while performing pulling exercises such as the deadlift or the shrug. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced weight lifter, Liquid Grip will allow you to maintain your grip longer throughout the exercise by preventing slippage of the barbell, which can lead to more repetitions and less risk of injury during an exercise set.Criteria I Used During Evaluation1. How functional is the product?• As advertised, Liquid Grip instantly dries once applied to the hands and removes all moisture and sweat. It keeps the hands thoroughly dry during the entire exercise, such as the deadlift, and prevents slippage of the barbell.2. How cost effective is this product?• Liquid Grip comes in a 1.5 ounce bottle, and is advertised to hold approximately 45 uses. It is currently only $7.38, and since the majority of weight lifters use it for just a few exercises, Liquid Grip can last between four to six months3. How convenient is this product?• Liquid Grip is light and small enough (1.5 x 1.7 x 4.2 inches) to be placed on your car keys or in your pocket, which is useful for those who dislike carrying around a backpack or duffel bag in the gym.My Overall ThoughtsI am completely satisfied with Liquid Grip, and I firmly believe it is the best alternative to chalk, which has conventionally been used by weight lifters. Nowadays numerous gyms have banned the use of chalk due to the mess it can make on the floor as well as on the barbell. Liquid Grip leaves absolutely no trace of residue on your hands or the barbell, and it easily comes off as soon as you wash your hands. Because I have had no problem with Liquid Grip, I will purchase this product again as soon as I am out of my current bottle, and I will continue to enjoy increasing my strength without worrying about the barbell slipping during a weight lifting set.

Great product for gyms that don't allow chalk
To know where I'm coming from: I've never used chalk, my gym doesn't allow it, and I'm just getting to weights in the deadlift where I'm struggling with grip strength, and that's why I bought this. And for that, I was extremely impressed with how well this worked. I went from struggling to hold onto the weight at 205 to feeling like I had a super solid grip and could do more reps at the end. It also allowed me to easily do a 10 second static hold at the end of my set to help set myself up for better grip strength down the road.I'm curious how long this band aid will work, but at this point it gives me the added grip I need to both do the workout AND do some holds in order to strengthen my grip. If I can keep doing that, I'm hoping this should carry me pretty far before I need to buy straps or truly learn the hook grip. Also, for the actual usage - if you touch the bar too soon without letting it dry, it can leave a few chalk marks on it but it's really not bad. If you just let it dry you're fine, and then you have to wash the chalk off your hands after the workout. It did have a funky smell, but it ain't body lotion, it's to help you lift more weight so who really cares.**UPDATE 5/5 a few weeks later**While I still think this is a cool product and is pretty effective, I quickly hit limitations based on my forearms. At about 240 I found even with this chalk, holding on for 5 reps was really hard. .I ended up buying straps for my last heavy set, and the rest I can do without chalk (though for my warm-up before my last heavy set, it doesn't make too much sense to dirty up my hands just to put straps on).In conclusion I won't be buying this again until maybe when my forearms are much stronger and I'm warming up with 250+ and just want that extra grip before straps (one pair of straps is also much more cost effective in the long run)
