Very pleased with this. It was not 100% clear to me from the product description exactly what this item was made of (rubber/plastic or metal) though I wasn't really bothered about that. For clarity the main mat is metal, cast iron, with rubber feet. It looks good , sits secure with the feet and does the job.

Longevity?
The unit has a little flex, due to any weight being distributed across the 5 ‘feet’. This is not an immediate issue, but cast iron is not designed to flex. It is likely that the unit will shatter, due to this flex. There needs to more ‘feet’ and, potentially, the cast iron needs also to be thicker. Time will tell. Keep your guarantee!
