These came at expected time. I already have one set and will put this set up for next year. Draped from lower tree branches, they are mesmerizing

I got the purple to use as Halloween lights. They are very bright and I have gotten many compliments on them. I have them plugged into a timer to come on at dusk. I have them on a small, dead tree branch which is stuck in a pot and covered with fake spider web with glittery spiders clinging to the web and branches. These streaming purple lights really set a creepy looking scene. I have no complaints but in the ratings it is asking to rate the remote control and what I got didn't come with one and don't remember it saying would. In any case, happy with the purchase and price.

We use these as outdoor Christmas decorations. The colors are bright, and the movement of the colors is almost mesmerizing. I found stretching each string of lights to its full length (8ft) is acceptable. The lights are bright enough that you don't need to bunch them up. The lights have a new form of power cord. At the end of a string of lights is a connector. This connector can be connected directly to another set of lights, or it can be connected to another cord that is then connected to a plug. Each connection has a cap that screws down and protects the connections from the elements when used outside. Also, because another cord is supplied with each set of lights, if light sets are strung directly together, these extra cords can be strung together to make a longer cord going to the plug. This can do away with the need for extra extension cords. The manufacturer says you can put 5 strings of meteor lights together, but this doesn't work. I tried to keep it to 3 strings to one plug, maybe a 4th. Otherwise, the lights didn't seem to work properly for us.We hung the lights outside, outlining our roof. The lights that were not held in place by a clip would blow up on the roof. In order to keep the lights from blowing up on the roof we ran a line of fishing line and taped the fishing line to the bottom of each light. This way, all of those lights were held together with the fishing line. The tape and line were invisible so that didn't detract from the color of the lights. The downside with these lights is that the cords are thin. I had cords on 2 light sets break. I had one set that stopped working. Thus, the 3-star durability rating. But most of my sets are still working after 2 years.

The lights are on the expensive side but they are what we wanted and they look great!

An update to my review (below) from 2020:Two of my three sets failed this year--spectacularly. Big flash (thought it was lightning) and two of the three were out. I tested the power supplies. One is completely dead; the other is outputting 12V instead of 7V. Opened them up to discover the insides are wet. One has rust and both have burned spots in different places on the circuit boards. Not worth it to spend time diagnosing down to the individual electronic components, plus burned spots tell me the boards themselves may not be repairable with my (limited) skills. Replacement 7V 1000mA 7W power supplies do not seem to be available from any source, though other similar items are. So now to decide whether to spend $42 for two replacement sets.I should also note that the individual light tubes are wired in series and several have failed due to weather, which causes everything downstream to go dark, beginning the first year. But they're easy to slice open, re-solder the corroded connections inside, and seal up with some hot melt glue.They were lovely while they lasted, but the law of diminishing returns has kicked in.My original 2020 review:I bought three of these to hang from the branches of an ornamental crabapple tree in front of our house. I had my doubts because they don't seem that durable. However, they've help up well. They are still going despite several pretty bad wind storms and lots of rain. I would buy them again.

Absolutely love this meteor shower light fixture.Easy to setup and worked perfectly in the location I selected for viewing from the house and street.First saw this fixture at an outdoor holiday light show and our family thought it would be great on our home.Product does as described.

The string was to short and you would need a lot to get good coverage from trees. A house would be fine in a straight line with other lights
