Pip and Egg: A beautiful, heartfelt story about the power of friendship: 1

My children love reading. They're 13 and 7 and we all still read as a family every night. My youngest absolutely loves this book. Sometimes I read to them. Sometimes my eldest will read. It's just such a simple beautiful touching story of true friendship. It's always top of the pile at bed time and makes me feel so calm. It's just beautiful.

I’ve purchased this book based on the reviews and am very happy with it. It was for my 5 year old who had left friends and family behind a few times when we’ve relocated.. His first reaction when we opened the book was “ Wow”. The illustration is breathtaking, it transports you to a magical world. The story shows that it is normal for our lives to change and for friends to be apart but that does not affect their friendship. They are there for each other when it matters. Even if they are not the same pip and egg, they are friends and learn to love each other and have fun with each other in a way that suits their new lives.

Perfect to said goodbye. With this beautiful and deeply story i could explain to my 5 years old how sometimes we need to said goodbye who we love one. Definitely recommend

This is a truly wonderful story that brought a tear to my daughter and my eyes. Beautiful. However this special quality to the book was compromised by the shoddy formatting in places (see picture). Please could this be updated as it mars what is truly an exceptional story.

Sometimes a book will come along and quietly steal your heart. This is one of those books. Having seen David Litchfield's illustration process (shared via his Instagram posts - check them out if you can!) I bought this book knowing it would WOW me. It does that, and more. Alex Latimer's text is so beautifully written. I'd go so far as to say that this is probably one of the best picture books, ever. Pip & Egg is simply beautiful in every way.

Bought for children aged 3 and 6.. it can be hard to find books which appeal to both children due to their age gap, but this one ticked that box! My eldest loved the sweet story and my youngest loved the bright, colourful illustrations. A really lovely book.
