Best tape
This tape does the trick. Works as advertised. I also bought the fix it tape and can tell the quality of this product outshine the cheap brands. I found this to be a little expensive but plan on sticking to this brand for future needs. The product was used to seal some electrical wires to an outside lamp. I had to go back and undo it and found that fusing was no joke. I easly cut it with a knife and peeled away like rubber skin. Word of warning when wrapping items, please make sure you streach it out as you are apllying and don't get ahead of your self by removing the protective plastic. If the tape happens to crinkle on to itself then you may get lucky and be able to straighten it out. When they say self fusing ... it will. At this price you don't want to waste.

Great stuff
Great stuff, be careful when applying because you won't get a second chance to fix your wraps, it is that self-adherent. You end up ripping it if you have to remove.

Package Arrived In Used Condition
Scotch 70 is a fantastic product. I’ve used many rolls of this at work in aircraft manufacturing and at home. The problem I had was the little product box it came in was beat up like it had been kicking around somebody’s shop. It’s a very expensive product and I thought I was buying new, so it should be as new.

Amazing, long-lived weatherproofing
I've used this for wrapping up coaxial cables and connectors, and found that all is still sealed up nicely a decade later. It's an amazing material and extremely easy to use.

Best Weatherproofing Tape Ever
Scotch-70 is unarguably the finest weatherproofing tape available anywhere at any price. Note that you stretch it as you are applying it and it's very important that you maintain a constant stretch as you go. For that reason I use it in only 6" increments and then cut another piece to continue-on if the first piece wasn't long enough. I have used Scotch-70 for almost 20 years when splicing underground Cable TV wire that was cut by overzealous gardening. With proper cable prep, compression fittings, a tiny dab of silicone grease on the threads and proper tightening, Scotch-70 provides a permanent waterproof repair that will remain watertight even if submerged. Once applied I prefer to cover it with a layer of (genuine) Scotch-88 (or 33), but this is just me being anal about the repair, as it isn't necessary. At an average price of $2 a foot Scotch-70 is expensive and for only casual use the standard 30 ft roll is likely a lifetime supply. Note also that this is ELECTRICAL tape, not something that you'd use for repairing your garden hose or a leaky pipe. Use it sparingly. Start about an inch ahead of your splice, with a 50% overlap, all the while keeping it stretched while applying it, and finish about an inch beyond the splice. Considering the cost and how far it goes, it would be nice if it were available in smaller quantities.

It's also used on Boeing aircraft if that gives you any idea how good it is
This tape is legit. Does exactly as it should, works ridiculously well. It's also used on Boeing aircraft if that gives you any idea how good it is.

The Real Thing
Is it more expensive? Yes. Is it worth the money? Absolutely! After trying numerous self-fusing tapes Scotch 70 is far and awat the best I've found to keep outdoor connection totally water free. Thicker tapes may sound appealing but lack the ability to stretch tightly around a connection, especially connections exposed to the elements. It also fuses to itself quickly and securely. I always double wrap due to its thin nature. But while all the others are prone to expansion and contraction, and the subsequent leakage, this tape has never failed me.
