Which size to get?
I'm just chiming in on the thoughts around sizing up or not. I fit a M/L on both the wrist and the upper bicep at near the 75% mark. Meaning that another inch and I would be in the next size up. I tried both sizes. The M/L, when trying on was actually a bit uncomfortably tight. But the XL/XXL still felt tight. I decided on the larger size. However, after my first ride. I did notice that with sweat, the tightness on the XL/XXL was not noticeable. Having sized up, the pad did slip on one occasion. I was able to snug the pad up to my armpit and it did not slip for the remainder of the ride. For reference this is an 9 mile 1200 foot climb and downhill with high speed rock gardens, so plenty of opportunity for the pads to slip. Oddly, the slip that did occur was on an uphill. Conclusion: I believe that I would have been fine or better off to stick with the M/L. However, the XL/XXL does appear to be snug enough. I will have to start doing curls maybe. I hope this helps.

Size up and don't expect immense padding
I currently ride with POC VPD 2.0 knee and elbow, they are some of the BEST protection around and very comfortable on the downhill. Unfortunately, the POC pads are horrible for pedaling and sweat like crazy (because they are more for downhill). I didn't want the TLD Speed as that's just too minimal, and I go into some rocks now and then. I just put these elbow pads on and can tell they are going to pedal well, and vent well. I'm not super stoked on the amount of padding; if you smash your elbow on a rock, you probably won't feel great but I feel like it'll keep your elbow from breaking. But keep in mind, more padding means breathes less and doesn't pedal as well.I love that these don't have any straps, I hate that about my POCs. I feel like they could have used less material, at least on the bicep, it definitely feels like a full sleeve. I thought I would need a Large (without measuring, just glanced at the chart) and decided on the XL/XXL, based on reviews saying size up. I'm glad I did because I am a 6'4" slender guy and the XL fits well, without pinching.Overall, they were exactly what I was looking for. Definitely keeping them and waiting on the knee pads.

Way too small!!!
These would be great elbow pads if they manufactured the right size. I have the Troy Lee Designs Stage knee pads in M/L. They fit great and are easy to get on and off (my legs are pretty muscular as well). But, the elbow pads are WAY Too SMALL!!! I initially ordered the M/L and could not even get them up to the top of my forearms. Then I ordered the XL/XXL. They are very difficult to get even close to being in place...taking 2 people. Me pushing the pad up from the bottom and someone else pulling the pad up from the top while hearing sounds from the material that you really don't want to hear. Granted, I hit the gym here and there, but 15" upper arms is not that big, definitely not XL/XXL. These are a great design, just obviously modeled from someone who apparently gets sand kicked in their face!
