Must have for thinning hair!
I have thinning hair and when I’m starting to do my hair I can sometimes see a good amount of my scalp in the back. I then sprinkle this powder on the area and pat it and it literally makes it completely covered. It really is amazing and I’ve been using it faithfully for about six months now. It helps with the anxiety surrounding having thinning hair, especially as a woman, and my confidence with my hair and leaving it down. The lock-in spray also helps to ensure that the fibers stay out and it’s just enough to give you the hair spray you need for the day. Definitely highly recommend this, I could not live without it! Happily, at least:)

Works, but better brands exist
Does the job, but it is not as good as XFusion hair fibers, which is a bit more expensive, but worth it. For some reason, Thick FX clumps, where as more expensive brands don't. So, you get what you pay for. In my opinion, it's better to shell out $5 more and get a better product.

Best product ever
The product is very easy to apply and immediately fills in spots that have less than normal hair growth. It’s the best product that I’ve found for that purpose.

Looked like flour was placed on my hair...

Its A No From Me!
Too many clumps, and the seal was half off so cap was full of fibers. Not happy at all!

Confidence boosting
This is a little pot of coloured talcum powder that you sprinkle onto thinning patches of hair to give the appearance of a fuller head. It looks a little bit like felt on the skin and, as long as you are not too liberal with application, fairly natural from a distance. It needs to be set with a fixing spray (purchased separately) or it just stays as loose powder in your hair but, even after fixing, plan on applying and removing daily. In terms of colour, I would choose a lighter shade than you think you need and perhaps consider two colours so you can effectively mix and match a palette to suit but bear in mind this will look better if you have more rather than less hair as it is a cosmetic patch rather than something that can reduce the appearance of large bald patches.

Easy to apply.
This hair building fibre is said to be electrostatically charged so the fiber adhere to existing hair, thus creating the appearance of extra volume. Keratin fiber creates a bond from the hair to the fibres. I was keen to try this on my receding hairline. My hair is quite think on most of my hair apart from the temple area. I was having a night out and looked forward to trying this out. I am used to having a firm hold gel in my hair so having the feeling of product in my hair is not a problem for me.I washed my hair before applying the hair building fiber. It is really easy to apply, it's like shaking talc. The products is dispensed through a mass of tiny holes and is very fine. The colour was a really good match to my hair and it looked thicker instantly. The product doesn’t feel like you have powder in your hair, it has quite a light feel to it which I like. It also stays put, it lasted till the following day when I washed my hair. I like this product and would recommend it. I think the price is good as I would not use it every day and It gives me more confidence.

Nice effect on my thinning temples
Thick FX Ardell Hair Building FiberI hadn't heard of Ardell Beauty before, and it turns out it's a US brand owned by American International Industries offering a range of cosmetic products. As I've approached menopause, my hair has thinned at the temples and I've started to get my first grey hairs. Therefore, I've been trying a number of different temporary hair products, including sprays and powders. This is my first fibre product, and I'm really pleased with the results. It's a bit fiddly to apply at first, especially if you're applying it to a top parting to disguise thinning hair there, and involves some craning around! However, applying this product when I'm dressing up for an important meeting or going out for the evening has given me a nice confidence boost at a time when I was wondering whether I would need to start dyeing my hair or perhaps get a fringe cut to cover my temples. It's given me some breathing space to decide what to do. I'm really pleased with the results.=== APPLICATION TIPS ===* Make sure you protect your face before applying the fibre - it comes in a plastic tube with a shaker at the end like a large pepper shaker. I hold my hand horizontally and press it against my hairline to shield my face* Using the end of a tail comb, create a parting in the area you want to cover, then sprinkle on the fibre* Using the flat side of the comb, pat the hair lightly to fan out the fibre a bit, then use the comb edge to smooth your hair into place* Work your way through your hair, creating partings and applying the powder* To seal the fibre in place and protect it from rain and sweat, use the finishing spray ( Thick FX Ardell Fiber Locking Spray ) or ordinary hair spray; finishing with spray is also a good way to remind yourself not to absent-mindedly run your fingers through your hair and get the fibre under your fingernails!=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* Makes the hair thicker and fuller and it stands up a bit - it's a similar effect to using dry shampoo, if you've tried that, but makes the hair thicker too* I prefer this to Batiste coloured dry shampoo, because it has no smell* The colour adheres to the hair strongly - it dooesn't even come off on the pillow overnight!* Is quicker to apply to the hair than powder products=== NIGGLES ===* I have light, medium and dark brown and they do come up slightly darker than in the online listing, so go a shade lighter* The shaker dispenser doesn't allow for much precision of application - other products come with a puffer nozzle to attach to the lid for mor precise application* Contains only 10g of product, and I don't know how long this will last (it seems a tiny amount of product)* It does take some practice to get a natural look, so don't try this for the first time when you're heading out the door on the way to work! The powder is very dense and can produce an overly dramatic look if not applied precisely.* Not waterproof or sweat-proof - it will gunk up a little in hot weather or if you get really hot (eg when exercising or dancing), and can become itchy* It can get stuck underneath your fingernails if you forget and run your fingers through your hair! For sale at the time of writing this review at £13.90.
