The shaft seems a bit short, not good if you are using thick wool. Maybe they make a longer metal shaft one

Sooooo comfortable to use. Buying this in every size. Worth every penny. I don’t use any other design of hook now. I don’t even feel the arthritis in my hands when crocheting using these. ❤️

I bought this as I have arthritis in my thumbs, and it is very comfortable to hold and use. Only criticism is the length of the metal part of the hook. Not long enough for using with chunky yarn, so could Dow itch being a little bit longer. Other than that nice to hold.

I have arthriticy thumbs and grumpy hands, but the style of these hooks means that I can forget about the body of the hook that fits the hand and concentrate on just the work and hook itself. They don't make a 2.25 which is a shame but other than that I recommend whole heartedly : )

I bought one of these many months ago as I found metal hooks difficult to hold and would lead to cramps in my hands. Fell in love with them (once I got used to the different feel) and am now slowly replacing my entire collection with these. Yes, they are expensive but definitely worth it as they make crocheting so much easier. I also like the extended length and ergonomic feel as well as the different colours so you can spot the right size hook easily. Can't wait to buy another size when the need arises and will not go back to normal hooks now.

I havnt tried it yet. It turned up on time but I’ll need to sanitise it first due to being sent a used item. Looks like someone’s had their hand sweating on it and bits of crumbs or something I’m unsure what on it and the box. I’d send it back but I refuse to pay return postage for a used item they’ve sent me. Won’t order for other sizes if any good.

I really love this hook. After using a cheap skinny aluminium one for the first half of my crochet jellyfish, this one feels so comfortable to hold and it hasn't broken yet. It has a strong steel hook and an ergonomically designed handle. My fingers don't hurt after crocheting tightly with this and it seems to make stitches easier. Great investment if you crochet octopus and jellyfish for premature babies because the stitches need to be really tight and standard hooks just break even if you're being careful. The second picture shows how I hold the hook. The position of my index finger changes depending on what I'm doing, but even when I am pretty much touching the metal it's still comfortable to use.
